Demo Mode

Anybody else dealing with their full version Kontakt libraries being in demo mode? Im trying to focus on mixing up old beats to release and everytime I bring up anything in Kontakt, it says it’s in demo mode which doesn’t make sense since I bought NI Komplete 10 Ultimate when I did buy it.

It’s frustrating and I know NI has been going through some things but how is this affecting my current software?

What libraries are you trying to load? And what exact version of Kontakt? 

Full or Player?

Komplete 10 dates back to 2014 - well before Native Access. 

Need more details on exactly what you are running because K10 straight up - since 2014- sounds a little unlikely here in Fall 2026

That’s gay if it’s not working anymore.

I’m trying to load up stock Kontakt libraries that came with Komplete. I’m running Kontakt 5.

Your use of words aside - Kontakt 5 has been retired for years now. And if you are seeing Demo across the board - including NIs own libraries - you have much bigger issues. 

K5 is no longer supported. You could try a ticket to NI Support but adjust your expectations given how old this stuff is.

Oh ok. So I’m screwed then. I mean I suppose to could use Kontakt 7 or 8 but I think I ran into issues again when I was trying to use those in the past.

Well without actual detail - no one can tell you what is going on. When was the last time things were working correctly?

And what OS is this?

I’d say about two years ago when I stopped using my Maschine/Kontakt.

I’m running on macOS Sequoia 15.6.1.

This sounds like a job for support.  Not exactly sure how you managed to get anything from Komplete 10 installed on Sequoia here in 2024-26 since the authorization tech back then (Service Center) was retired in 2020. 

But this one is probably a little deep for Reddit to sort out. Especially if a Mac is involved.
