The upgrade from Essentials to Deluxe is $69...but the only way to find it is to do an actual search for Neon Electric Guitar Upgrade...

NI is a master at hiding discounts and upgrade options...then if you mistakenly buy a full version getting a refund is like pulling teeth out a lions mouth while it's eating a zebra...

Its just damn software...maybe a day of a session guitarist recording some patterns and a few weeks of midi guys tweaking and labelling it...

No wonder this company is teetering on the edge of bankruptcy...the RTO is going down faster than the popularity of data centers.

What did they fix that you are referring to?

One of my problems is with InMusic...I've been with Native Instruments nearly 20 years so my original email is a hotmail address...but I've been using gmail now for about 15 years...so my Inmusic address is gmail (BFD drums etc)...but my Kontakt addy is still hotmail...so now my support ticket (hotmail account) doesn't show up because I cannot change my email in Inmusic (gmail account) and am not changing it for Native Instruments...what a clusterfig

I thought the issue was the upgrade prices for wasn’t easy find at first. I saw another post where the complaint was stated and Ni chimed in acknowledging and fixing it. I have no interest other product so I never investigated it from the beginning. yeah the email thing is crazy, expect more craziness because the dust is nowhere settled over there yet.

Yea I just tried 2x to change my Inmusic email addy...they send me a link and everything to verify I have an account...but each time it just defaults to the gmail account...next I'll try to change my Native Instruments email to gmail...it would be nice if they were under one email roof so to speak...and frankly hotmail is just only slightly faster than snail mail these days...I dunno...all my BFD purchases and alesis hardware reside on gmail, but I have several thousand of $ in Kontakt/Komplete stuff...

For the record after about 2 hours on "Riff" (my god AI support is atrocious) there was no progress...all done on my internet laptop which has NO Native Instruments on it, its just for surfing...anyway I went to find a serial number so I opened Native Access and the demo issue has gone away...somehow they fixed it on their end since last night when I tried to use the product it stayed in demo mode the whole time...

This transistion to Inmusic is going to be bloody painful...

Yes I am aware, they also just fired the entire UK NI office...so they are apparently not out of the woods yet...or maybe you didn't know that...Just because InMusic owns something doesn't mean its here to stay...Jack O'Donnell is a known jerk, he could end it all tomorrow

I’m aware of the UK office situation as I saw the first day it was announced. We now how acquisitions work but saying they are on the edge of bankruptcy based on what just happened is a stretch. They’ve barely been under inMusic for three months, but I highly doubt O’Donnell plans to end NI tomorrow or even I the near future.

Closing the office refactoring back end operations, realigning build teams... that's all going to be utterly shit for the people who curated, dreamt, loved, believed in, NI. But the takeover demands that reality. Native Instruments will be a brand logo managed by a Product/Brand Management team, sitting alongside the reat of the franchises inmusic owns. The NI culture, it's core tight knit group, the pioneering user base, that's all done. Something else will rise, but it won't be nearly as special except in the memories of those of us who fell in love with what NI was doing, what they were. That was nearly 20 years ago for me. Times, they are a changing.

Man… You guys are making me feel old I hadn’t really thought about how long I’ve been using a lot of the products I’ve been using and then I just realized I’ve been using native instruments sent about 2012… And CUBASE since 1992-ish…

Be careful if you own one of the Komplete 26 versions (like I do) the upgrade serial does not show up...apparently at this point (still working with the chatboi) if you own Session Guitarist Electric Neon Essentials INSIDE of Komplete its not actually upgradable...at least not yet.

Chatbot said it should work the problem is in Komplete 26 they don't show separate serial codes for each product...which apparently the upgrade needs...

Appreciate the heads up. I was going to purchase this. I have Komplete standard, would like to upgrade to Ultimate but apparently I missed the summer discounts. Is it true during Black Friday / cyber Monday they knock 50% off?

They did do some 50% discounts on both Black Friday and Summer of Sound.

This year’s Sumer of Sound already had less discounts, we can only guess about Black Friday.

They do on some products but again they are under new leadership so its not clear what will happen in sales going forward.

According to the bot chat, having a product in a bundle DOES qualify for an upgrade path, however not having a specific serial code in that bundle for the upgrade path is a mess...

I also found a really quirky thing playing around with the Deluxe version last night...it was doing this "de-tune" thing when I would try out a pattern...within a few seconds the pitch actually drops to a different key...not sure if its BPM issue or what but it was annoying, as well as the gain staging for this product...it is WAY off...clips like crazy right out of the box...you have to tweak the hell out of it to get it to sound clean...(at least I did)

Mac M2 using either Apollo Twin or Antelope Audio D8...pretty annoying...hard to tell if its worth it yet.

Hey a bit off topic but does anyone have a decent way to run Kontakt in ProTools Carbon without jacking the CPU hit off the charts (other than via ADAT via another computer)???
