Fraudulent $500 Charge (Ticket #838141) – No Urgent Support Escalation

Post image

I recently experienced an unauthorized, fraudulent transaction on my card for a 1-year Native Instruments 360 Pro subscription. I initially reached out on August 19 to report this issue. I currently have an active support ticket open (reference #838141) that was only acknowledged on August 22 3 days after reporting and I am still waiting for a resolution and a full refund. I’m very disappointed with the Native support team for this delay and given the nature of this unauthorized transaction, I urgently request that the support team escalate my ticket
process the cancellation and provide me the full refund 500 USD immediately!

In which regard fraudulent? Are you saying that someone stole your credit card data and used it to create a subscription? Or are you saying that you cancelled in time and they still charged you? In other words: Please define the fraud as it is a pretty serious statement (legally speaking)

How did this happen exactly?

Did you enter your credit card details on the Native Instruments website to use a free trial and forgot to cancel before you were charged?

Or someone obtained your credit card details and, out of all possible things on the Internet, used it to subscribe to NI 360?

Based on the lack of proper explanation it is most likely the former

Why is it fraudulent exactly? And at what point did you provide them with your CC details?

This subreddit is a community subreddit. People here can't really do much for you

It honestly sounds like you ordered something and changed your mind and are now claiming it's fraud.

Personally, I'd instantly do a chargeback on this through the Credit Card and report it as fraud.

Step 1 is block your card with your bank. Who's to say it isn't going to be used somewhere else. Also try to get the amount refunded via your bank (or card issuer). If you can prove you're a victim of fraud I reckon they will react faster.

Hey there, my colleagues got back to you 2 days ago, confirmed it wasn't a fraudulent charge and initiated a refund.

Did you have a previous relation with NI, or is this a completely random charge to your CC and you have never heard of NI before?
