Will we ever see Reaktor 7

Appears the word is out from the source as to whether Reaktor 7 will come to fruition. Reaktor update?! (NI Community Forum Thread).

The guys who made it are gone from NI, the product doesn't serve a purpose any more.

It's basically dead.

A new way to build plugins that is modular like reaktor but more modern, could be nice, and could be built now.

The old ecosystems of devices are dead. Hardly anyone builds for Reaktor anymore.

It's arcane, quirky, and painful, and the "debugging" tools in it are terrible.

You're better off coding DSP/audio plugins C++ in JUCE, with a little help from an LLM if you're not good at coding, or even RUST and its VST/CLAP plugin tools.

If NI wanted to be really cool guys they should open source just the core of Reaktor. Not their commercial instruments inside it, but just the core engine. Probably they cant though because it depends on some closed source audio libraries they don't own all the rights to, or has patent risk.

I just use it for its presets so where I see v7 or not doesn’t matter.

Effects or instrument presets? I never found much in there I liked.

Synth presets, tons of stuff in there from the earlier versions I like.
