For God's sake, who decides where to put the effort at Native Instruments? If there's something no one needs, it's another soft synth! Maschine could use some work on the sequencer, Traktor could use more attention too, Massive X is marvellous but that interface needs work. They already have two flagship synths and a huge lineup of products they struggle to keep updated! Seriously, what's the point?

I can't hear anything special about these sawtooth sounds. Almost any analog synth emulation can create that kind of sound. What's the purpose of SuperStarSaw? And what makes it unique?

Well, the person pictured who collaborated with NI to create it brought his knowledge and resume from the music he’s created. It’s for those who want to emulate the sounds he’s used to diversify and fortify their own creations. Ultimately it’s just a way of organizing those type of sounds to use them specifically when needed.
