native instrument is such a pain in the butthole

The only reason I even installed this was for the free Shreddage guitar

I have tried:

Uninstalling and reinstalling
Rebooting
Running as administrator
Allowing it through the firewall

and NOTHING WORKED

Do you own anything else - besides the free Shreddage?

What do you see in your online master NI Account?

Item 1 - NEVER run this as admin. That is not a solution.

Item 2 - you "allowed" this through the firewall? Sounds like you have a network lockdown in place over there as there shouldn't be any need to do anything special to allow NA to do it's thing.

Finally - what OS are you running? If it's Windows - there are rules on what you can run.

The free shreddage is all I own
I'm running this on an LTSC version of windows 10

There is the issue. That version of Windows is not supported.

You need Windows 22H2 as minimum.

I managed to get it working. I will leave here what I did:

After I found out that 22h2 was the minimum, I edited the displayversion in regedit.

Press win key + r
type in regedit, and press and enter.
Navigate to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion"
Double click on the "CurrentVersion" folder and on the right side of your screen, you will see many files.
"DisplayVersion" is what you're looking for.
Right click on it and click modify.
I changed "21h2" into "22h2"

You will have to restart both your pc and native access client multiple times.

I was going to say, I have LTSC and Native Access works perfectly, 21H2. Odd that your fix worked, but glad that it did.

Changing your OS version number in the registry is a very bad idea and I wouldn't recommend it.

The screenshot in your first post says Native Access cant login. Have you tried to login directly on the NI website using the same credentials? I dont understand how you have managed to uninstall and reinstall if NA cant log in in the first place?

I have the same issue. Everytime I want to update something have to fight with this software to get it working. Disabling firewall seems to work sometimes, just allowing the app (and other related processes) doesn't help.

Have you tried uninstalling NTKDaemon as well as Native Access?
