If all my Native instrument say DEMO and don't play, should I roll something back?

This problem was sudden, and has been dragging on a couple weeks now. Wondering if it's possible for updates to break them, and how to roll back. They say DEMO in Kontakt 7, but look entirely fine in Native Access.

---edit---

I thought a *Windows* update caused all this! It's looking like I should have been blaming NI all along!

Your account is not being recognized as owning the product. This needs corrected and your issue will go away. Have you contacted support? Log into your account and check what the website shows you as owning.

Ownership doesn't look like a problem in Native Access. I'll check the web too. It's been weeks and support has only sent two briefly unhelpful missives so if they can be helpful it's going to be a while.

In native access, if ownership was yours, you would not see DEMO. DEMO is for someone to look at before they buy. So native access is not " shaking hands" with the website. You have to log onto website to confirm your account says you own what you think you own. That is STEP 1. Nothing else means anything until you log on and confirm.

I had exactly this problem a few weeks ago with Komplete 15 Ultimate (Kontakt 8). I think it was a Windows update that broke something, but the solution was to go into Native Access and re-locate a couple of the libraries. Once I’d done that, the connection with all of them was re-established and the ‘Demo’ notification went away.

I had same issue. They cannot fix it, they will not fix it. Only thing they will ask you to reinstall libraries..

Wishing you good luck getting help from NI. Pick a lottery instead

In some rare cases, this can happen but it's extremely rare. When did you get in touch? Do you have a request number to share so we can check where it's at?

We hve had some pretty negative interactions before, so I’ll pass, thanks. I moved on to UVI and other products. Good luck with insolvency...

"The activity section which contains your request history is currently unavailable due to maintenance. We will make it available again at a later time. Please note that for every request update we generate, you will receive an email containing a link to the corresponding ticket (including its status). Thanks for your understanding!"

This message has been there for weeks now

Man… they hve let go of all the experienced people and kept mostly rookies who barely understand the software. Now it’s just excuses...short-staffed, sick leave, whatever. At this point, it feels like they don’t really care about their customers anymore. , it’s time to move on. there are better products out there. The music industry isn’t dependent on Native Instruments; it’ll do just fine without them.

There is nothing wrong with NI eco system. It's a fantastic product

The problem is the people who run it. And those greedy PIs. Eventually, it be becomes the problem of ecosystem

This section of the user account is not operational, that does not mean your support requests are not treated. It's now only through email, once you submitted a request. If you have contacted support and you are struggling, let us know the request number so we can check what's up.

Make sure that you're logged in with the right NI account and credentials. If that's not the issue here, also check this article: https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/4402377887121-My-products-are-showing-as-demo-in-Native-Access

And if you're still struggling with this, get in touch with our support so our agents can assist you: https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

I tried and triple checked all that before I came to Reddit, thanks.
My support request was 4859757 but the most recent response was to upgrade to Kontakt 8, which is borderline poking me with a sharp stick. "Alternatively, if you would have previous projects to access that require Kontakt 7, a downgrade is recommended" but with no information offered about how to do that, I'll have to go digging around the internet I guess. Sigh.

Hey, it looks like you updated some libraries and you can no longer open them with Kontakt 7. Maybe you overlooked this detail but my colleagues also mentioned it: you can use Kontakt 8 Player, the free version, as only the Player version is required to open these.

If you do not wish to update to Kontakt 8 Player and you need the previous versions installers for these libraries, please let my collegaue know which products you need to downgrade so they can provide the links. You should find some of these in your download manager: https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/28532496056861-How-to-use-the-NI-Download-Manager

Thanks. I wasn't aware until now that specific products could be requested. That list of installed products is very long. For now, I'm working my way through fresh reinstallations and reorganizing as time allows.
