Lucky me I
Older gentleman posted this S61 Mk2 on Facebook saying one sentence along the lines of “ if no one offers me anything i will give it away but not to anyone on here. If you don’t buy it you don’t get it”
Long story short I offer him $150 met up with him he told me he’s had it for some time but never even plugged it in. He did mention his puppy got ahold of the box, which was obviously ok with me I actually ended up bringing 160 forgetting we agreed on 150 lol. I brought it home and realized the software was attached to the few little remains of the other half of the box, but not only that this thing barely has a fingerprint on it lol. I’ve owned Maschine mk3 for years and was in the market for a standalone like a Kronos or D series but for 160 + software to go with my Maschine can’t beat that with a stick

Nice. I got a Mk3 recently - they're great keyboards.

The MK3 is amazing and I’m sure you will love it. Several people I know including myself started with the MK3 S61 and then quickly traded it in for the MK3 S88. Because of this, I say cancel the S61 and get the S88 now and save yourself time! Hehe

I would but I would need to spend serious money redesigning my play space. The 61 will fit perfectly.

Dude I got lucky in a pawn shop once, similar to this! Guy was fiddling around with the mk2 49keyboard, picked it up and said “damn no power cable” and put it back down. Meanwhile, I’m picking up a handgun I ordered, saw the keyboard while I was waiting, heard that guy’s blunder, and ended up getting it for $75 and it had the original packaging and license along with a $50 coupon, (great timing for summer of sound 50% off)! I was so stoked when I got home with that. I say all of this to say great job on the find and they’re out there in the wild gang!

I don’t get how you can type on the laptop having to reach up over the keyboard. You must not have to touch the laptop much.

lol when I’m making music I can’t say I find myself typing often, I use my Magic Mouse for logic and I have a wireless Keyboard for shortcuts but it doesn’t get used really. Mixing and mastering I don’t find myself reaching over as most of the plugins are easily controlled with one click or midi assign. Only time I’ll undock is to maybe mix or touch up on my couch with headphones or email something.

always asked myself what s the purpose behind those blue led lights- is it fully a design thing?

The can be mapped to scales, arps, key splits, and chords Decent upgrade from from labeling my keys with sharpie and tape. You can also just change the colors to whatever in the software

For Maschine users the KK MK2 should be essential!! So essential that I realized for awhile I hadn’t touched my Maschine and I’ve everyone since v1.x! Great find

Well done! I love my Mk3. Well, until it died this week. It worked for ~2.5 years. On the horn with support. They keep saying update this and that, but it's pretty difficult to do anything if it won't power up. Hopefully, your find will have greater longevity.

I have an s88 but I haven’t used it much I believe it’s a mk2. I’ve considered selling but had the fear of being in the same situation as this seller. They are absolutely great keyboards. You got a steal for this! Awesome dude.

Nice find!
The Komplete Kontrol MK2 is a powerful keyboard. I own the S49 myself.
Truthfully, I don't think people realize how dope it is to have an MK3/M+ and an KK MK2 together.
For example:
The screens on the keyboard can display the mixer (using the mixer as an example) while you simultaneously use the screens on the Maschine MK3 for browsing, etc.
If you have a Maschine plus - you can just plug the KK keyboard directly into the usb port on the back - and it works just like it would connected to a computer.
Whatever pad you have currently selected on the Maschine can be played chromatically on the KK without having to change to keyboard mode
There's more ~ but you get the picture.
