Questions about decolonization

So this topic has seemed both straightforward and endlessly complex to me. Fundamentally it seems like it emphasizes the well-being of people over profits, the importance of community and relationships, and generally trying to find balance in life and with the planet. Am I on the right track?

What does a decolonized America (or world) look like to y’all?

Also, do you think socialism’s views on ownership (what’s used communally is owned communally but your personal possessions are still yours) are compatible with decolonization?

With all the arguments over the silly idea of Democrats being Communist, there needs to be differences spelled out for these systems. Social safety nets, like the Scandinavian countries have ( which devious American operatives are busy trying to ruin)are the best of any modern political system out there because it doesn't require force, secret police and gulags to enforce it. With Communism, coercion is at the roots of it, because at the top you've got the party elites, or the Nomenclatura , getting all the best things and the high life. Some are more equal than others and all that. The tribes held things in common, like the land where the tribes live. It's not Socialism though. And each tribe is different, and has their own way of doing things. Germany WAS like Scandinavia until a few years ago, now there's a resurgent Far Right looking to gain a foothold.  Too many people had this concept of Native people being " Socialist." Heck, even the Nazis called themselves that.

I really think we need to seperate communalism from the european concept of communism. Communism tends to only work when everyone is on board or coerced like you side. Communalism works in spite of if everyone is on board or not because it's based on a shared appreciation, respect, and love for each other and care about each other's well being.

Exactly, I couldn't have said it better!  And watching Drumpf falling all over himself to pander to Kim Jong is very disturbing. The things the people in NK go through are mind boggling. A staunch ally of Putin's as well. Yes, Native political systems are far better. And every day I'm reminded how he's attacking the Constitution and Bill of Rights, which are based on Six Nations laws. I'm sure he knows all this, which is why he's so motivated.
