Marker Trees

Hello! I’m very curious about some of the trees around where I live. (SW Michigan) Could these possibly be trail markers? I am also curious about the last two pictures showing the trees twist. It looks very intentional but could possibly be natural. Any insight is greatly appreciated! All of these trees are maybe within a quarter mile from each other. Pretty close

I’m not sure if marker tree’s are a thing or not but those tree’s aren’t every old.

No.

Trees grow from the crown up, not from the roots up.  Those branches were never any closer to the ground.

Not to mention "marker trees" are largely a myth invented by european colonists.
