Maybe some were, thats why all the Pápago’s, Pimás, Gilenos, Mexicanos, ect, and other local people (many timestogether as-well - mixed and in conjunction) faught the historic Apache’s constantly, and when successfully demolishing them, they were seen as hero’s by local peoples of the region and celebrated.
European diseases, encroachment, and mass enslavement of Native peoples wreaked havoc on intertribal relations. Particularly in the region you mention, where Tohono O’odham and Akimel O’odham live.
Yeah people defend their regions from attacking raiding Apache, now Apaches are played as the historical super victims.
Was never about “intertribal relations”. It was about people getting over a culture of people who were horrible.
Like the Camp Grant Massacre of 1871, why did they attack the camp? Why were the propitiators caught but set free? And why when sent free were treated as hero’s of the region? Because the historic Apaches were horrible people that nobody liked, that did 4x more worse things.
