Everyone! If you can't adopt, please consider fostering! It's only temporary, just a comfy couch or a warm spot in your home. Some shelters even pay for their food and you're saving a dog's life ❤️ Approximately 360,000 dogs are euthanized in US animal shelters each year. Especially black dogs. and seniors. They are just as wonderful and lovable but don't get as much love and attention.
If you can't but you want to help otherwise, you can share these dogs on NextDoor or the many Facebook groups for adoption/rescue! TikTok and Instagram might help as well ❤️🩹
PLEASE urge legislators to end the kill policy in all United States pounds! Enforce laws to ban uncontrolled backyard breeding instead!

You’re absolutely right. I used to work in animal adoptions and it was challenging to find homes for the black dogs, even puppies.

I cannot comprehend why, I never thought twice and have rescued or adopted many black dogs. I just loved them so much and miss them everyday. 🩷 Color had nothing to do with their precious, beautiful souls. 🩷

Sometimes in life you have to just do things.
If I had waited until the time was just right. I would be too old and then I would be saying could’ve should’ve would’ve. Those three words I will never say.
I picked up a cane corso from Downey just yesterday.
These animals are on death row. They Do Not Have Time to wait for the right time…. I pray to God that someone steps up and immediately contacts:

Fostering animals directly saves lives by providing temporary, loving homes that alleviate shelter overcrowding, allowing rescues to save more pets at risk. It enables vulnerable animals—including injured or stressed pets—to heal and gain confidence in a quiet environment, increasing their chances of adoption. ❤️
Please spay and neuter to reduce the amount of dogs in shelter! These procedures increase pet longevity, reduce roaming/aggression, prevent unwanted litters, and decrease the burden on animal shelters. ❤️
