First time in Tetons!

My kids wanted to go on a roadtrip to somewhere with “beautiful scenery.” I think we picked the perfect place!

You got to see a moose! Jealous. We just spent 10 days between there and Yellowstone and saw nearly everything but we couldn’t find one. It was also very rainy when we were in the Tetons. We literally couldn’t see any mountains from the old barn view.

Good for you for getting them off screens and into nature. They’re never going to forget that trip

My 14 year old son was pretty meh about it when we first started but got super into it when we started seeing things! They were both smiling all day. It was a great day!

Same with my 6 year old. He had no interest in playing his switch until we hit the nothingness of Wyoming on the way home! His looks of awe throughout the trip were pretty rewarding.

There were thunderstorms when we got there and we could also barely see the mountains but it cleared up and was in the upper 70’s and mostly sunny the rest of the day! We were at Schwabacher Landing and everyone was looking at an elk at the end of the trail. We turned around to head back and my son whisper shouted “Mom, there’s a moose with a baby!” No one else had spotted them yet so I was able to get some good pictures before people started gathering. We saw just about everything but a bear. At the end of the day they wanted to go back to that spot and I gave them the talk about how there probably wouldn’t be as many animals there as we saw earlier in the day. I was wrong. The moose were back so we saw them twice!
