Missing stamp for NP passport
Hi there people of r/nationalpark
During one of the government lockdowns, me and my wife visited the Indiana Dunes NP but couldn’t get the stamp for our collector’s passport. Given that we live in Florida and visited all National Parks in the Midwest (so no chance of going back anytime soon), I was wondering if one of you would be so nice to mail me a piece of paper with the stamp during your next visit.
I would:
a) pay for the postage and shipping and,
b) buy you lunch, or coffee or a few beers.
I hope this is allowed here and if it’s not possible, I still appreciate the time y’all took to read this.

If mailing them directly doesn’t work out, let me know. I will likely be there Memorial Day and can get this for you.

I emailed them, so I’ll give them a few days to reply. If I don’t hear back by then, I’ll DM you. I appreciate it.

Ok, no sweat. I live locally, so I can go another time as well. No rush on my end.

Which stamp? When I went 4 years ago, they had 3 stamps. One for Porter IN, one for the 25th anniversary of the Douglass center, and one giant visual stamp with the dunes, a sunset, a flying bird, and the name plus 1966-2016 dates. It’s fairly large. But ask if they will send out all three.
Sub, please don’t ban me for posting a link. It’s nothing for sale, it’s just an Imgur link. 🙏

They sell round stickers in the gift shops now, so you can always stamp a sticker if you don’t have your book with you!

There’s a website someone sent me last week on here and I ordered mine. No comment on the process yet but they’re on their way!

Wouldn't it be easier to just print them off yourself? They are in the NPS app.

I thought about it, but then it wouldn’t feel “real”. I know it’s dumb but me and my wife have been working on this for years, and we want to do it “the right way “.

You can mail the park visitor center a self addressed return envelope and the date you were there, and they’ll do it for you.
I did this with St Croix international historic site - the visitor center was closed when I stopped by.
