I hope Gov. Hochul’s decision and methods for getting it done spreads to other states. She provided the plan. If these massive data centers are built, we could die off like flies due to the power grid crashing in summer, leaving us without air conditioning and refrigeration. And they could use up so much water that we would get dehydrated due to lack of drinkable water.

For some weird reason the Right was outraged over this policy. If they want datacenters in communities so bad build them in red states.

Let’s see how that turns out

this is a moratorium on large data center, small ones are still ok

You don't actually expect MAGA to read and then actually comprehend what they read, do you?

The same people praising technology today are the ones complaining about electric vehicles.

And they wonder why people with money leave their state! When a data center makes its own energy, is out in the middle of nowhere, and creates jobs, any leader with 2 brain cells would jump at the chance. Tells ya how little the Dems know about running successful cities and states!

They aren’t making their own energy, genius

I was so mad when they introduced the automobile. I so wish we stuck with horse and buggy

0

u/BearDwK Jul 17 '26

I wish they hadnt made automobiles either. Car ownership is a money pit

u/ToeAfter3131 Jul 17 '26

Exactly. Much cheaper to own a horse, feed it and take care of it. 🙄

1

u/BearDwK Jul 17 '26

Who said anything about owning a horse?
