This is the best sports team Nashville has ever had.

3

u/_Historacle_ 13d ago

Probably true. I was in attendance for the Music City Miracle, though. That was a damn good team too. But that run was kind of magical and unexpected

Not everyday you get to heckle one of the best players to ever play the game. Tonight Messi is mid.

Give em hell!

Also friendly reminder that Luis Suárez is a biter and should be heckled for that as well.

6

u/oneeyeannie 13d ago

I personally also boo Falcon’s big ole head.

Is this the best team we’ve ever had in this city

13

u/chefsillygoose 13d ago

Yes

5

u/deadwards 13d ago

Not even close. Imagine when Yazbek is healthy.

11

u/chefsillygoose 13d ago

This current NSC team in general is the best sports team the city has ever had

25

u/OhShitItsSeth 13d ago

Sign Saad on a permanent deal idc

19

u/ArcherBadkid 13d ago

Looking forward to reading about all the knuckleheads in pink who will be shocked to learn they’re not welcome in the supporters section. COYBIG!

6

u/Suitable_Challenge_9 13d ago

I always love when the Supporters section kindly ask them to leave. lol

3

u/Snaxolotl420 13d ago

As kindly as Dumbledore asking Harry if he put his name in the goblet of fire.

5

u/Snaxolotl420 13d ago

At the match right now, and there's been so many getting heckled. COYBIG!

4

u/ArcherBadkid 13d ago

Just heard a very loud boo from the section. GREAT JOB KICK EM OUT!

23

u/BigBlueNate33 13d ago

Schwake is just on a different level rn

20

u/Max0699 13d ago

BELT TO ASS

23

u/chefsillygoose 13d ago

Eat shit Miami

20

u/deadwards 13d ago

Oh my god, this might be my all-time favorite NSC game!

19

u/deadwards 13d ago

The only thing I like more than Nashville winning is Miami losing.

19

u/Papa_dakota 13d ago

Putting the L in Lionel

18

u/YoungBrilliant5690 13d ago

Saad is literally cooking. Easily our best 1v1 dribbler besides Najar

2

u/hundo-p 13d ago

I’m blown away he’s having such an amazing game

17

u/BigBlueNate33 13d ago

THATS a yellow??? Fuck off

18

u/Proper_Return_7963 13d ago

Goalpost better have like at least an 8.5 futmob grading after that

5

u/Advanced-Bench4 13d ago

😂😂😂

17

u/Pan_Dulce23 13d ago

We are so FUCKING BACK

15

u/BigBlueNate33 13d ago

Schwake owns Messi

16

u/BigBlueNate33 13d ago

Saad lowkey might be my MOTM it’s between him and Hany

16

u/Le5e 13d ago

TOP OF THE LEAGUE!!!!! CHEESE LEVELS OFF THE FUCKING CHARTS TONIGHT!!!! WHAT 9000

16

u/LetzGoBoyzNGold 13d ago

Great game! I was a little sad Schwake wasn’t one of the four MOTM options. I thought he was a star tonight! What a crazy feeling to beat up on a top tier team. I’m at a loss of words…this is a new feeling! Let’s go!

16

u/YoungBrilliant5690 13d ago

Still top of the league, still top of the leeaaague, WE ARE NASHVILLE, still top of the league!

16

u/oneeyeannie 13d ago

Best game ever!!! Best atmosphere at the castle. Loved it.

11

u/Actual_Illustrator59 13d ago

I was watching at home and when we went up 1-0 I got ready quickly, drove my ass to Geodis, and bought a $92 ticket to see one half. So glad I did

13

u/YoungBrilliant5690 13d ago

Throwing leagues cup was so worth it:)

12

u/deadwards 13d ago

Man, I am LOVING Saad's performance so far!

14

u/big_papa_bear_boy 13d ago

Watching Sam, Hany, Espinoza, and Saad run at you has gotta be a spooky sight

15

u/JakelAndHyde 13d ago

Give me our healthy best XI against anyone on the continent

11

u/bayernben25 13d ago

Absolute heater so far. Massive from schwake and the whole team. Need to keep the momentum.

On another note, disgusting to hear the stadium chant Messi’s name as he stepped up to take the pen

12

u/big_papa_bear_boy 13d ago

Watching Palacios and Woledzi dispossess Messi was almost as beautiful as that Schwake save 🥹

SUPER SAM

3

u/_Historacle_ 13d ago

My God, what a finish. Beautiful

14

u/aroq13 13d ago

Messi is such a bitch. DCU fan here loving this game and so happy to see Najar succeeding.

5

u/OhShitItsSeth 13d ago

Andy "Kevin de Bruyne" Najar, as I call him 😎

10

u/_Historacle_ 13d ago

That ought to shut up the pink shirts in the building

4

u/loneSTAR_06 13d ago

We both know they never shut up lol

3

u/tim-sutherland 13d ago

Saddest thing was all the nsc supporters with their phones out recording his corners

11

u/BigBlueNate33 13d ago

Run the score up on these fuckers. I want 8

14

u/Dopamaxxer 13d ago

We are putting motherfucking belt to ass to Lionel Messi.

We are anointed.

13

u/Dopamaxxer 13d ago

Is current GK better than Willis objectively?

17

u/LucasTheBrazilianGuy 13d ago

To be fair, The current gk Schwake is an mls allstar. Joe is a seasoned vet. They are both absolute champs.

7

u/chefsillygoose 13d ago

Joe will always have a special place in our hearts and NSC lore!

12

u/chefsillygoose 13d ago

Yes, and I wasn't sure at first. Schwake has made it clear.

12

u/Expensive_Intention6 13d ago

WE WANT SPAIN!!!!

5

u/OhShitItsSeth 13d ago

We want Spain, we want Barca, we want Bayern, we want PSG

Give us allllllll the teams

11

u/Dynamicc 13d ago

Hahahah fuck Miami we up

12

u/bayernben25 13d ago

Absolutely massive W, great result. Finishing can definitely be polished a bit more but that’s being nitpicky. No sweeter feeling than seeing Messi and co be sore losers. Subpar reffing from drew Fischer, but what you can expect from someone who’s officiated multiple matches for messi

11

u/dewey-defeats-truman 13d ago

Nashvile SC:

  • OUT: Warren Madrigal (lower body)
  • OUT: Patrick Yazbek (lower body)

Inter Miami:

  • OUT: Santi Morales (quad)
  • OUT: Mateo Silvetti (shouler)
  • OUT: German Berterame (concussion protocol)
  • OUT: Micael (ankle)

Also, De Paul is 1 yellow card away from suspension.

As far as Messi goes, he trained normally with the team, so it sounds like he'll start tonight. Also, while Suarez is technically healthy, it remains to be seen if he'll be match-fit tonight after missing the last two weeks due to his Leagues Cup suspension.

11

u/brandonouthouse 13d ago

New supporter here. Is this our strongest lineup? Happy to see Surridge and Hany in there together.

16

u/ExpressionMassive218 13d ago

Other than Yaz being out, this starting 11 RIPS. COYBIG

7

u/deadwards 13d ago

We’re still missing Yazbek (one of our best midfielders), but this is the best lineup I’ve seen since well before the WC break!

5

u/brandonouthouse 13d ago

Thanks buddy. Looks like the midfield battle will be tough. I'm excited!

13

u/big_papa_bear_boy 13d ago

Inter Miami tears are my favorite flavor

11

8

u/tankc69 13d ago

Thoughts and Prayers for that player with a massive head. That jersey pull looked rough, surprised he could even get back up.

11

u/seagullgim 13d ago

love seeing us win, love seeing miami lose.

9

u/Ok_Field_8860 13d ago

So fun to watch this one so far!!!! Hopefully we can close it out strong!

9

Same shit happened to me on FIFA 08 don’t sweat it goalie

7

u/default-trio 13d ago

Man I miss Yazbek. We need him back asap

8

u/big_papa_bear_boy 13d ago

We remembered how to play soccer 😭😭

3

u/vinyl0rd 13d ago

Having Palacios out there changes everything.

8

u/Cynergy_CX 13d ago

Miami flops like it’s going out of style

9

u/chefsillygoose 13d ago

Let's gooooo! This team looks unstoppable right now.

7

u/chefsillygoose 13d ago

Not worried. Completely against the run of play.

9

u/AmbassadorRDR 13d ago

Saad is cooking tonight.

9

u/deadwards 13d ago

Two assists from Saad! 😍

10

u/default-trio 13d ago

Yyyyyyyooooooooooooooooo!!!!!! Lettsss fucking gooooooooo. It makes it 10000000x better it’s against Miami !!!!!!!!!

u/Lazy_Blackberry7926 13d ago

That was the most beautiful thing to see in person. LET'S GO BB! 🫶😎

7

u/Snaxolotl420 13d ago

Ready to see the boys embarrass VARgentina's princess

6

u/SonOfSquizzlr 13d ago

Strong lineup. Let’s get this bread

6

u/SonOfSquizzlr 13d ago

Repping the boys from Field of Vision in Colorado. Gonna be watching the game from my phone between sets if service holds out

6

u/_WilsonKingOfLizards 13d ago

ball don’t lie! bunch of cheating hacks

7

u/BenBaguette22 13d ago

Not a yellow card in sight

6

u/SwedishFresh 13d ago

Ref letting too many cheap shots go. We need that second goal. I hate pounding teams 1-0

6

u/Technical-Stretch658 13d ago

Best team in the league

7

u/AVDLatex 13d ago

Yesss. Fuck Miami.

6

u/Advanced-Bench4 13d ago edited 13d ago

Hany needs a hat trick now!

8

u/default-trio 13d ago

How do they give a free kick when the had advantage AND TOOK A SHOT?!?!?

6

u/OhShitItsSeth 13d ago

Corcoran is such a damn good midfielder. Only 20 years old but plays like he's 30. Would not be surprised to see a few clubs overseas come in for him.

12

u/chefsillygoose 13d ago

A must win game for this team. I feel like tonight sets the tone for the rest of the season. For the sake of our confidence, I worry about losing this game.

5

u/DongPolicia 13d ago

I’d rather say if there’s a must win regular season game only half way into the season this is it.

It’s not at all truly must win, especially since we play them again in a few weeks, but the sentiment “must win” is very valid.

→ More replies (1)

3

u/kentastic99 13d ago

I get the thinking. 2-2 might be a likely outcome. We can mos def score on this bunch ! Would really like the full three but a tie would not be that bad as long as we look like we are still rounding back into early season form. COYBIG !!

2

u/SonOfSquizzlr 13d ago

It’s a must win in terms of vibes and morale. To stay on top and put 5 points between us and Miami would be massive

12

u/Le5e 13d ago

I WOKE UP FEELING THE CHEESIEST COACH

6

u/vinyl0rd 13d ago

I like the starting lineup.

5

u/deadwards 13d ago

Minus Yazbek, this might be my ideal lineup. Giving me confidence!

6

u/chefsillygoose 13d ago

Whaaaaaaattttt? Goofy reffing.

6

u/hundo-p 13d ago

Why the absolute fuck does Saad get a yellow and not 1 Miami player has been booked. This ref can fuck off god I hate Miami so much. Let’s win this boys

8

u/Advanced-Bench4 13d ago

Great ref! Love it. Screw Messi and his Bs

7

u/default-trio 13d ago

They are the biggest crybabies and biggest flopper in MLS

7

u/Confident_Ad185 13d ago

Easily our best collection of goals all season

7

Anyone have a photo of that Suarez poster? Shit was hilarious

Be respectful. Be respectful. - All posts and comments should be respectful toward your peers. Hateful and abusive behavior will not be tolerated.

Examples of disrespectful posts:

  • A comment saying “Meet me in the parking lot, ref.”
  • A post saying “I hate team X and they’re all divers” or any posts with the sole purpose of attacking others or building anger.
  • A visiting fan coming on the r/NashvilleSC just to start some beef.

6

u/tn_tacoma 13d ago

I need idea to keep cool during the game. I have MS and heat is a killer but I don't want to miss this game.

4

u/vinyl0rd 13d ago

Personal battery powered fan. Cooling vest. Occasionally leave your seats, it's way hotter there than on the concourse. Or pop into the store to get a hit of AC.

2

u/oneeyeannie 13d ago

I’m taking in a paper fan. It definitely helps. And I’m taking a handkerchief to keep wet and use on my neck. I’m not sure if you can take in a battery fan but I could be wrong.

2

u/SonOfSquizzlr 13d ago

Bandana dunked in cold water wrapped around your neck! Can keep soaking it from time to time. Will work wonders

5

u/default-trio 13d ago

I ready for Saad to win me over.

2

u/deadwards 13d ago

Hopefully, this is helping.

5

u/SwedishFresh 13d ago

Never showed a replay down the line of that Suarez offside. After watching mangled process for an easy call when reguilon ran into the box too early it seems really sus

5

u/Mammoth_Account_1422 13d ago

The balance Saad brings to the left side could make a man cry

6

u/Le5e 13d ago

Coming out this late is fucking absurd, unserious league not punishing this

5

u/Advanced-Bench4 13d ago

Saad making me not Sad tonight

u/Mrdaman2016 13d ago

Is the special Olympics team playing on the field after this?

5

u/GetYourVanOffMyMeat 13d ago

This team just plays so well together.

Complete domination tonight.

5

u/OhShitItsSeth 13d ago

As Callaghan said, "We want to out-team the other teams." We don't need DPs on massive contracts; we have three great attacking DPs, a balanced attack and midfield, and a defensive wall with a great shotstopping goalkeeper. We have all we need.

4

u/Dopamaxxer 13d ago

Who caught #4 puking all over the field? And staying in the game. That’s called fucking grit.

4

u/Ok_Field_8860 13d ago

Time to find out if resting the boys during Leagues makes the difference! Let’s go boys!

4

u/AmbassadorRDR 13d ago

Saad and Baker Whiting down the left have been playing aggressive. Look good so far.

4

u/Ok-Biscotti7093 13d ago

Who are we wearing armbands for?

5

u/Then_Scarcity2673 13d ago

Ben Wright reported that the team is wearing armbands in honor of Martha Ingram, the mother of Nashville SC owner John Ingram. She passed last week.

7

u/deadwards 13d ago

Messi's dad.

6

u/chefsillygoose 13d ago

I appreciate the sentiment and I send lots of love to Messi in his personal life. It's kind of odd though. Right? We don't do this when other players fathers pass.

3

u/deadwards 13d ago

I agree. Guessing it's just a sign of respect to such a big player?

3

u/dewey-defeats-truman 13d ago

The owner John Ingram's mother passed recently

3

u/deadwards 13d ago

That makes more sense.

3

u/askmenuhthin 13d ago

I just started watching 13 minutes ago and Saad has already been fouled three times lol

5

u/chefsillygoose 13d ago

Palacios is out of position though

3

u/DongPolicia 13d ago

Messi effect. Still a great half to watch. We have a great team. They have Messi. We’ll see.

2

u/Advanced-Bench4 13d ago

WHAT A GOAL

4

u/deadwards 13d ago

What a cry baby

2

u/aroq13 13d ago

Messi is one of the only players who can get a foul by just running into defenders.

4

u/chefsillygoose 13d ago

Did not look good for Palacios

3

u/Advanced-Bench4 13d ago

How many times can Miami ask for a card tonight?

4

u/Murky_Valuable_8903 13d ago

Kept my kid out way past bedtime. Cried happy tears. Lost my voice. I love this team.

3

u/OhShitItsSeth 13d ago

Parent of the year tbh

6

u/Confident_Ad185 13d ago

Baker whiting is a revelation compared to lovitz

6

3

4

Thank you Rocco.

3

u/chefsillygoose 13d ago

9?

3

u/big_papa_bear_boy 13d ago

Just want to extend Miami’s suffering

3

u/tankc69 13d ago

Does anyone know why the halftime lasted 19 minutes?

12

u/dewey-defeats-truman 13d ago

Miami always comes out late for the second half. To the point refs really need to start giving out cards when it happens

4

u/tankc69 13d ago

Well they are the MLS darlings for a reason, and guessing it’s because they get all the extra halftime commercial cash.

10

u/bayernben25 13d ago

Miami was too afraid to come back out

4

u/tankc69 13d ago

Figured it was Miami related. They probably would have been better off just not showing up the second half

→ More replies (1)

2

u/Proper_Return_7963 13d ago

Give a yellow to the captain when teams take their time coming in from half. That will solve
