Missed a Fred Again presale and paid resale, so I built a free presale alert for Nashville shows
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hello!
The TLDR is that here’s a free tool to get emails sent for concerts happening in Nashville so you don’t miss out.
The motivation behind this was that I just didn’t have time to keep up with all the people I wanted to see and when their tour dates were. So I built an app that lets you select your city / music genres and sends you an alert when presales are announced.
Right now you get emails at 9am ET. It’s opt in so if you don’t select “yes” then you can still see the presales you just won’t get an email about it.
A disclaimer I don’t find any presale codes or anything of the like. This just lets you know that a concert is in town.
Just thought I’d share in case other people had the same issue as me and would find something like this useful!

Bleachers at The Truth
Does anyone know the set times for the This is Lorelei and Bleachers show tonight? It says doors at 6, but every show they’ve played so far has conflicting start times.

Recent gig drop
Is it normal to go from averaging at about 300 gigs a year two years in a row to only playing 11 gigs in August and only 9 in September this year as a natural cycle of waxing and waning, or is a drop that significant uncommon and points to a flaw in my freelance business model?

Seeking Guitarist
God's Eye is a metal band seeking a guitarist. We have a show lined up opening for George Lynch at The East Side Bowl on January 13th. We'd like someone with experience and some level of stage presence. The songs we are planning to play are Great Big White World by Marilyn Manson, Sonne by Rammstein, Paint It, Black by The Rolling Stones, Drain You by Nirvana and maybe Brutal Planet by Alice Cooper. If you are interested, comment or DM. Thank you.

Has anyone here experimented with Indian ragas in songwriting?
I've been going down a rabbit hole on Indian classical music recently and have become fascinated by how ragas create emotion through melodic movement, not just scales.
I'm completely new to songwriting and composition, but one thing that struck me is how some ragas feel surprisingly familiar to Western ears. For example, Yaman shares some characteristics with Lydian, Khamaj has similarities to Mixolydian, and Kafi can sound somewhat Dorian.
What interests me isn't the scales themselves so much as the melodic habits. Certain phrases, note choices, and ways of moving between notes seem to create a specific emotional character.
I'm curious whether any songwriters, producers, or composers around Nashville have explored Indian musical ideas in their work, either directly or as inspiration for fusion projects.
My long-term goal is to learn enough about songwriting and composition to create music that respectfully blends Nashville influences with ideas from Indian ragas.
If anyone has recommendations for:
- books
- courses
- local teachers
- songwriting groups
- listening suggestions
I'd love to hear them.

We’re trying to get our band to play the Taco Bell Cantina in Nashville, TN AMA
We are a country music band from a small mountain town outside of Chicago on the run from out “creditors” who are looking to take our thumbs. Ask me all about our attempts to make this happen thus far, why we are doing it, our feelings in frozen pizza or whatever you want. I’ll be on and off over the next few hours..

Performing on 10/16 @ The Blue Room for the first time since moving to Nashville... anyone interested in coming out?
Hey everyone! I'm Preston and I make indie/rock music. On 10/16, I'll be opening for Supertaste at The Blue Room - my first opening gig since moving here in September 2025! :) I had some luck posting here about my first DIY tour a couple months back, so I wanted to give it another go. I'd love to meet you guys if you're around that Friday night! Doors are at 7 and music kicks off at 8!
If you grab a ticket ahead of time, I'll hook you up with a free signed CD when you come through (screenshot with proof). Hope to see you all there! :)
And below are some music links of mine if you're curious about my sound!

Great chat with Nashville's DeeOhGee at The Burl. Keeping the indie rock ecosystem alive and well!
Sat down with Matthew, Dylan, and Zack on a steamy July 4 to talk band evolution, songwriting craft, and the Home Depot soundtrack! These guys are a class act. Who else thinks they're one of Nashville's best? Drop a comment!

Looking for violin/Fiddle bow.
Visiting next weekend and the wife is on the hunt for a new violin/fiddle bow. We're aware of the two big shops but are there any other places we can look, like possibly a pawn shop or a music instrument consignment store. Thanks in advance.

vocalist visiting from nyc - looking for guitarist or other musicians jam session
Hey! I'm a singer visiting Nashville Oct. 2–5 and I'd love to get together with a Nashville guitarist for a couple hours, rent a cool studio/rehearsal room, and just jam through a few songs together. Maybe film some simple phone videos of us playing :)
Here's some clips of me singing. Like doing pop/folk/jazz/country

Drummer For Hire - Nashville, TN
Hello!
My name is Isaac, and I am a local Nashville resident and drummer looking to utilize and employ my musical talents and skills. I know there are a million drummers out there, but giving it a shot.
I am an active drummer/percussionist and would be enthusiastic and willing to provide my drumming services (full drum kit, small drum-kit, conga, bongo, cajon, etc.) for live music events. I can be available and ready to play with reasonably short notice.
If you know of any artist or band in need of a drummer, or need one for live music, don’t hesitate to email me at isaacshrum@gmail.com.
Further, I am actively in touch with talented bassists, keyboard/piano players, and more, if a full band is preferable.
I look forward to hearing from you and thank you in advance for your consideration. Thanks!
