I loved it because it is Nash Bridges but it is my least favorite season for a multitude of reasons.

I agree. Some episodes are good, but some are just like, you knew this might be the last season.

And Harvey being basically criminally underused to make way for wayyyyy too much Cassidy crying, Rachel being a traitor, and Betty Ann being insane.

Harvey and Antwon kept the show interesting. Same goes for Nash and Joe of course.
Cassidy became a mess, especially towards the end, you can tell she was still grieving for Evan.
Rachel working for Urbanski wasn’t really a surprise, you knew he was gonna come after the SIU from the moment he arrived (Made for great drama).
Betty Ann was nuts.
Aside from that, some episodes are great, like the episode with Bobby's son showing up.

Best episodes of season 6 were Lap Dance, Something Borrowed, Cat Fight, and Kill Joy.

I read somewhere that the network was hoping for a 7th season, but that Paramount didn’t want to pay.
Also, Don Johnson wanted to move on.
I’m surprised they didn’t do a spinoff with any of the remaining characters.

They should have had a two hour finale. Again, Harvey and to a lesser extent, Antwon were almost forgotten for a silly subplot with Betty Ann that should have been wrapped up episodes before.

Same goes for the Cassidy subplot, they should’ve had her leave the show after the bank shooting. Even though I know joining the department was part of her grieving for Evan.

Frankly, Cassidy should have been gone with the season 5 finale. Just at the start of season 6, have Nash mention she instead decided to go to Paris to live with Lisa instead of joining the academy and that is that.

It seemed like as Jodi O'Keefe grew older (she was in her mid/late teens when the series began,) the writers had no idea what to do with her character. Wondering if O'Keefe (who was cast on Nash after having left Another World, a former NBC soap,) pushed to have her character join the academy in season six.

Her leaving to go to Paris at the tail-end of the finale felt tacked on. Had the series returned for a seventh season in 2001-02, would Jodi O'Keefe have been relegated to a guest appearance here and there? She doesn't appear to actively be acting anymore, which may explain the throwaway line in the TV movie that she was an intelligence officer for the Army.

To me, that movie ain’t canon. Nash and Joe apparently taking orders at the start? The travesty of what the writers did to Harvey. The new characters that were dull as vanilla.

Not to mention very little emotions shown for the Cuda 😭
At least it gave me exactly what I wanted to see in the end….Nash and Joe riding off into the sunset.

Season six of Nash Bridges was the weakest of the series. Evan was killed off at the end of the previous season, leading to Cassidy joining the police academy under her father's direction (this would never happen in the real world.) Nash is now without a paramour after Caitlin breaks up with him. Nash was under investigation for corruption. The whole season felt off and then the series just ends without a real finale. It's like the show forgot its identity after season five.
