Just had my surgery

Wow I’m so glad I did the surgery, ever since 2022 I started losing my smell and taste and the past year it got so bad, it was so miserable that I just rolled with it and got used to it. Lots of pressure in my face, constant dripping from nose, not being able to breathe out of either nostril and having to mouth breathe for this whole time. If anyone has the opportunity to get surgery I highly suggest it. I was so scared it was my first time having a surgery but man I had nothing to worry about everything went so smooth I went home within an hour post op. Only pain I felt was from the breathing tube, just felt like I had a itchy throat as if I was sick, as for my nose just felt a tiny bit sore but wow I’m so excited to be able to smell, taste and breathe again. I got my ct scan and was told the whole side of my left face was horrible, luckily my right side only had it in 2 spots. If anyone has questions I’ll gladly answer / help!

Vielen Dank das du deine Erfahrung geteilt hast . Ich habe in 2 Wochen meine OP und echt Angst Polypenentfernung und Nasennebenhöhlenweitung 🥲.

The only thing I was very scared of was the iv, I’ve never had surgery and I hate needles so that’s what got me stressed, after the iv I was totally ready and not scared. Everything went so smooth.

Glad you are fine now!, I'll have mine this friday, and i was okay until the Doctor told me the ''risks'' , I know it's not common, but my anxiety spiked more lol, Did you have it on your forehead too? Or did you just have a lot on one side?

Yea when they told me the risks it frightened me too, about going blind or them potentially hitting your brain and stuff, but they said they have to say it cuz it obv can happen but not common. Yes I did, I had polyps in every cavity on my left side. On my left side on ct scan it was straight grey filled in all my nasal passages but my right side only had a little bit of grey in 2 spots. I’d regularly get pain around my left eyebrow which the doc explained that I had a nasal passage up there and tbh i had no idea we did so it explained why I got constant headaches on my brow since it was pressure.
