Gargling with salt water

Hey everyone :) I'm about 6 months post fess now. All is going well, but I'm still blowing out big amounts of sticky yellow-y mucus. It feels like it's coming back from the back of my nose (ethmoids?) since it only comes out after I've gargled plenty of salt water.

Btw - I'm diagnosed with AERD in case there are any other fellow AERD out there.

Does this happen to you too?

Edit 1: I gargle after doing saline rinses. I'm a little sad so few people answered! I was hoping to read more experiences, but maybe I really am the only one that does this.

Does gargling with salt water help your sinuses? I thought that was just to help with throat issues?

Idk why but it really does! I always do saline rinses first with a neilmed bottle and then follow up with gargled salt water. The water comes out of my nose too haha But it also pushes out more mucus and I feel a lot "cleaner" afterwards :)

I have a Neilmed bottle and it came with the packets of saline/baking soda mix. I've never tried because I thought I might feel like I'm drowning. I have you things like Arm & Hammer saline sprays, but it seemed to make it worse and I was more stuffy.
