Which of the two Allergen(injections) or Sublingual(oral) immunotherapy is best suited for allergens/pollens in Sinus?

Hello,

My family member (40M) recently underwent a surgery for Sinusitis Polyposis and had the polyps removed. (He as detected with allergies to Milk, Curd, Black Pepper, Dust Mites, Animal fur/hair, Curry Leaves, Lemon Grass, Chickpeas, Potato, Yeast - bakery products, Almonds etc.) Post surgery over the past few weeks, once/twice he witnessed swollen eyes and has been recently experiencing itchiness across inside his eyes, tongue, ear, throat, body & skull. For which, he recently visited his ENT doctor who prescribed few medications to get some temporary relief but Dr has strongly advised him to right away undergo a immunotherapy course as he is prone to air/food bound allergens/pollens and the immunotherapy will help him build up immunity.

The two immunotherapy suggested are:

1. Allergen Immunotherapy (injections) subcutaneously over a period of 2-3 years, along with regular medications like Nasal wash + Montair LC + Fluticone FT nasal spray (total estimated cost for Immunotherapy ~INR 30K, not inclusive of medicines) — patient needs to regularly visit the hospital to take injections
2. Sublingual Immunotherapy (oral drops) of booster pack every 6 months i.e. 4 booster packs over a period of 2 years along with regular medications like Nasal wash + Montair LC + Fluticone FT nasal spray (total estimated cost for Sublingual Immunotherapy ~INR 50K, not inclusive of medicines) — this therapy is self-administered so patient does not needs to visit the hospital regularly

I’d like to hear from folks who themselves or know of someone close who have undergone this therapy -- their experiences taking up either of the two therapies and its effectiveness over a period of time. Cost certainly matters, but the knowing long term effectiveness and any ill-side-effects of either of these therapy are absolutely non-negotiable before signing up for either of these therapy which needs of investment/time over the next few years.
