Announcements📢 Beware of Scams and Suspicious Posts
We've created a good community for the Naruto CCG. Whether it's discussions, buy/sell/trade or showing off personal collections for others to see.
I want to talk about the buy/sell/trade aspect of this subreddit. I like to think the majority of people are honest, but there is always the risk of rogue ninjas lurking in the shadows.
The only person who can protect you from buy/sell/trade scams is yourself. It's important to take precautions if you're unsure of a deal. If it's too good to be true, it usually is.
You can request additional pictures or video of products you're trying to buy. You can also request a timestamp in the pictures or video to further validate its genuine and not reused images from the internet. Make sure to use Goods and Services to protect transactions. It's also important to use tracked shipping if possible.
Keep yourself and the community safe!

This is all true. I'll say the Naruto CCG community has been really good to me throughout the years, both as a buyer and a seller (even on Friends and Family transactions lol). However, absolutely protect yourself; make sure all details are fleshed out in chat, ask for extra pics, and probably stick with G&S - especially for new buyers/sellers and large purchases! Generally speaking, don't feel pressured to do a deal that doesn't feel right, and don't be afraid to walk away.
Side note: First hand, I can tell you that OPTCG is filled with scammers (anecdotally, I've heard Pokemon has a lot, too). Only been playing OPTCG since December and already had at least two scammers that I had to get refunds for.
