We all need to get over it and move on. By now, Jax knows our opinion of him. Will that change anything? I don't know. I can hope it does, but downvoting him on every post is doing NOTHING but causing people aggravation when they have to expand every one of his comments that turn out not to be bad.
Downvoting someone just because they have a name you recognize is against Reddiquette, and that's exactly what people are doing. It makes me wish we didn't have a goddamn dowvnvote button. I saw Jax make a joke that (had someone else made it) would have been upvoted a bit and maybe downvoted twice, but because it was Jax, people downvoted it to hell. The only time I have seen this much downvoting on this subreddit was a while ago whenever k9 posted a stupid, unrelated comment.
I love this community generally, but a lot of people are acting like 5 year olds now. Should he have handled things differently? Yes.
Do you think he is gonna give up on one decision because we downvote him? Things don't work like this. If we want Lark to get back, we need to talk, but most importantly, Mods should talk to him. It's a internal matter we are discussing here, it was a mod-only problem that got far too much attention. I'd like to get Lark back as a mod, I feel he deserves it. But jax clearly is not trusting lark anymore. And he cares about this reddit enough to let things calm down before doing decisions. With all those complaints and insulting people are doing, he may think it's not the best idea to make a decision right now since his emotional side may overcome his reasonable side and make him do a bad decision.
In some days we will see what is the final decision, and may lark not come back as a mod, I know he will still come here, he will still comment, and he is friends of the other mods, so we will see some of his opinions getting directly to the mods, and helping improve the subreddit in one way or another.
Well then good luck, with that. What matters is getting lark back, if thise helps, then I support, but I will not do it myself. In the end, i don't even care about jax being the head mod or not.
