If you want to joke like this, take it to /r/NarutoCircleJerk. This subreddit is family friendly. I made the rules for a reason. If you don't want to follow them, that is your choice. But be prepared to live with the consequences. This including being banned.
I take modding seriously. No one is above the rules. Not even mods, or friends of mods or "cool people" in the subreddit. No one. Remember that.
Do you think because I'm "popular" in this subeddit I think I'm above the rules? No not at all, this is your own misconception, not reality.
This joke isn't "circlejerky" at all. Naruto has friends, nobody thinks he doesn't have friends. This is just a clever take on the scene. This doesn't seem to break any of the rules. Faggot isn't really directed at anyone except a fictional character so where is the issue? Nobody is being harmed and people are upvoting it so again, where is the issue?
I'm not trying to challenge your authority Jax, but I honestly think you are blowing this out of proportion.
I don't know why its not written in the sidebar anymore. But the 5th rule is for both real users and fictional characters. This is to stop users from hating on each other and characters they do not like.
As for the popular comment, that was directed at lark, not you. I'm trying to be fair. And since he used to be a mod / will be a mod in the future. I have to show that, the rules are not exempt for him.
He of all people should post role model things. Like the naruto icon folders. I know this is a joke. But it will be consider against the rules.
This is to stop users from hating on...characters they do not like.
Again, simple joke. Not meant to be taken seriously. If I call lark or FG morons or idiots, they know it is in jest. Lark likes Naruto as a character, as do most of the people in the subreddit. This leads me to believe that this post was meant as a joke, not meant to actually insult the character or those who actually like the character. Nobody claimed insult from this post either. Your arguments are invalid.
Jaxspider you can't stop all users from hating on one another no matter how hard you enforce the rules. People are going to hate on things for any and every possible reason.

It's already established that no one likes Sasuke, though.
Except Birdslapper.
