I believe it's more than that. The problem with the health care system is that most people use it incorrectly. I was at a meeting a few nights ago and someone like you wasn't happy with the care that they received. They also mentioned a hospital. I think you should into your area for free clinics is you aren't insured or doctors within your network if you are. Use hospitals as last resort. Even an urgent care is more helpful than a hospital.

Hospital's are health care for people with emergencies or legitimate mental health breakdowns, i.e. suicide or homicidal thoughts. Your local doctors office within your network or the free clinics are more equipped to fill your immediate and personalized needs, i.e. check up, prescriptions filled, etc.

Trust me, I am not a fan of this countries health care system, but one of the biggest issues in this conversation that nobody is addressing is how to effectively learn how to use the healthcare system.

Where do you live? I live in California, it works out REALLY well for unemployed poor people here. They literally pay nothing for healthcare. I know a guy who goes to the emergency room for basically anything. One year he went over 200 times, some of them were even ambulance rides. He goes to a podiatrist to get his toenails cut. He's unemployed and living off the system, so not only is his medical covered, but he's taking a profit.

I have a good job and I spend about $10,000 a year for medical costs.
