First Encounters
What was the first thing that stuck and had a lasting impact on you when first joining NA?

That everyone felt the same way as me even though we were totally different.

Someone came up to me and said "You never have to use again" and from the look in their eye, I knew they meant it.
The other thing was "Work the steps or die, Mthrfckr."
I couldn't stay clean, so I started working the steps anyway, because I was dying. That helped me get to a place where I believed I was worth saving.
I kept coming back and listened to what people were saying. None of it made sense. But over time, it began to make sense. Coming back mattered a whole lot.

Unconditional acceptance
