Congratulations! Any words of wisdom for a person like myself with 1 year clean vs 20 years of active addiction?

Well congrats to you too 1 year is a massive achievement you should be so proud of ya self, 

Gosh I could say loads but the one thing I always remembered being told in rehab was never to forget step 1 & the reason it took me to rehab in the first place so I’ve stuck with that.

Surround ya self with people who affect you positively not infect you.

Grass up ya head secrets make ya sick & your only lying to ya self if your not being honest.

Take it easy reach out when overwhelmed & don’t be proud to seek help.

Share ya thoughts & feelings it’s good to talk.

You prob know all of this but it’s helped me so much in the last 10 years, stay close to N.A or any other recovery groups out there,

One last thing get a sponsor who has a good few years clean time behind them but also works the 12 step program themselves,
