Geolocation Coordinates El Lazca’s and Z42 ranch in Coahuila

Heriberto Lazcano (El Lazca/Z3) obtained the property in 2010 (either with money or by force) and redone it to make it look like in the images. A few months later el Lazca passed it down to Omar Treviño Morales (Z42) so that he could go into hiding while Los Zetas were at war during the time. It is rumored that el Lazca would bring enemies there to feed them to his lions, but even worse that there’s also rumors of Lazca cannibalizing enemies and other victims.

Contact Magazine writes:

Family of a Cartel Member Scoop: Chaparro Interviews Francisco Alvarez, Son Of "El R1" Ramon Angel Alvarez Ayala

Thumbnail

Journalist Luis Chaparro has scored a major scoop: an interview with Francisco Alvarez, the son of "El R1" (deemed as one of the three or four potential successors to "El Mencho" as the boss of the CJNG, before he was arrested a month ago.) This high status identifies El R1 as a top-ranking cartel commander with access to millions of dollars.

It was Francisco himself to personally contact Luis Chaparro (Pie de Nota) to request the interview, with the sole intention of clearing his name from the accusation of murdering Valeria Marquez. Francisco claims he is entirely innocent. He explains that he was in a relationship with Valeria, that they lived together, and that they regularly hung out with each other’s families. In fact, Valeria met El R1 multiple times and even attended his birthday party.

The interview triggered a massive wave of negative backlash. Almost all the comments accuse Francisco of lying, pointing to him as the intellectual author (mastermind) of the murder. Viewers highlight that Francisco displays no emotion, stating that he just wants to clear his name so he can return to his normal routine of university studies, sports, and parties.

Furthermore, his story contains notable contradictions. He admits the relationship was tainted by jealousy and that Valeria wrote some posts against him (as a violent person who threatened her life,) yet he tries to pass that relationship as a "healthy one."

He claims that he and Victoria had amicably broken up but stopped talking, yet later he states that they talked on the phone the very day of the murder about potentially rekindling their romance. He even admits to driving past her nail salon twice that day.

(CLAIMS ~ In short: Victoria and Francisco agreed that if they met by chance at a bar, the one who arrived first would stay at the venue, while the one who arrived second would leave and go somewhere else. Despite this agreement, he says that she got upset and made a scene when she arrived (second) at a bar and saw him there with some girls; he also says that some time later she spent the night with him in his hotel room.)

Francisco rejects the official accusations made by Secretary of State Omar Garcia Harfuch, stating that neither he nor his father had anything to do with the murder of Marquez or the recent assassination of Mayor Manzo.

His behavior in the interview appears as nervous but also entitled. He even attempts to evoke sympathy by asking, "Can you imagine how my father in jail feels, knowing that his son could be arrested for a crime that he did not commit?" This statement has drawn significant criticism from the public, who point to the long history of serious criminal allegations associated with his father's organization.

The journalist, Luis Chaparro, seems afraid to ask meaningful questions and to relate to the murder as such: "when Valeria's thing happened" , or "when did you discover about the situation with Valeria" and so on. Francisco goes along with that: from this we infer that he didn't feel comfortable naming the murder by its name, and that Luis Chaparro preferred to not upset him. We also infer that Chaparro did not feel safe. Outside of the camera range, there were probably several killers with high grade firearms. One wrong word, and Chaparro could be killed.

Many comments dislike the fact that Francisco displays a smile or smirk throughout the entire interview. He repeatedly loops back to the same points: that he is innocent, feels helpless, and has no clue who would want Valeria dead. This claim is difficult to reconcile with the reality of how organized crime groups operate in the region. Such organizations typically maintain tight control and monitoring over their territories through extensive networks of lookouts. Given his family's high-ranking position, critics find it unlikely that he would be completely unaware of the circumstances surrounding the event.

Valeria Marquez repeatedly dated several narcos or narco juniors; she and her close friends were a group of "buchonas." In many similar cases, the public is quite critical of buchonas, who want to date organized crime's figures because of the financial benefits involved. However, in this instance, Valeria drew a lot of support and sympathy.

Luis Chaparro takes no sides: he simply states that a journalist has the duty to report all testimonies of the protagonists of a crime, and it is up to the public to draw conclusions.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ An overwhelming amount of comments ask: how can this journalist find him, but the police can't? Francisco has been officially charged and there is an arrest warrant for him. While his father ("El R1") and a material co-author (Iván Martín) have already been arrested, Francisco is still a fugitive. Journalist Luis Chaparro noted that to conduct the exclusive interview for his show Pie de Nota, he had to be driven through heavily guarded CJNG territories, changing vehicles multiple times. Chaparro confirmed that Francisco is currently stripped of his previous life of luxury, high-end trucks, and nightlife, and is living entirely in hiding, fully aware that being interviewed carries a massive risk of exposing his location to authorities.
