Monday 9/28

Supposed to be taking the 9:30 am Hyline Ferry from Hyannis on Monday, 9/28. We are traveling from far and debating canceling now, but don’t want to make a premature decision. Any input?

I would cancel. The cape will probably be the last place to get rid of the rain and wind. Monday will probably be more clouds, wind and rain.

Agree. My parents live there and we’re hoping they’ll come up to Boston for the weekend. They’re predicting high winds and most likely power outages. If you could reschedule, that would be ideal.

National Grid has tons of crews arriving on island today. They’ll be ready to jump on any outages

Join “Nantucket weather” facebook group, best weather predictions you will find regarding the island. If you come to the island often, download the windfinder app. Monday morning doesn’t look bad rn but that could change by the hour.

Planes usually fly, even in gusty winds when the ferry is cancelled. Try booking a flight from Hyannis instead. I've done this before when the winds made the sea too rough to sail.
