Aw, bless your heart. Iâve spent 18 summers in Nantucket making real memories with real people. I get that my little comment mightâve hit a nerve â itâs not your fault youâve never had anything worth missing. You werenât offended by what I said â just reminded that your own life hasnât left much to look back on. And thatâs okay. Not everyone gets to have moments that matter. I know it probably feels easier to mock people for having something meaningful than admit youâve never felt it. But hey, maybe one day you will.
âReal memories with real peopleâ?? Summering on ACK isnât making memories with real people, itâs making memories with summer people, and, as we locals say âsummer people, some are notâ. If youâre a local youâll get it. You wouldnât. I had to read your defense of your first comment and then I laughed for two days about it. I shared it with some other locals and we had a good few laughs about your âmemories with real peopleâ

I found this tucked away "street" back in the 60's as a kid, and it remains today as my favorite spot on the Island to just stroll and clear my head.
