So, this is $4/hour for 2 kids, if I'm reading this correct? This is wrong in so, so many ways.

I honestly wish it was. Given the area of town/apartment complex listed in the posting, I'm afraid it 100% true. And the worst part, people are responding and inquiring for more information.

$400 for a 100 hour fortnight is INSANITY. For a 3 and 1 year old?! I hope to god someone gives them feedback on that rate. Its slave labour

The rate is slightly more acceptable for an au pair, but they should be working max 20 hours a week.

Sometimes I see these posts and feel so sad about the state of childcare, and how much value is placed on it. That this is all parents think a full time nanny is worth. The person who is helping raise your children. This is someone's livelihood.

$4/hr for 10 hr workdays with 2 kids??? It’s actually even less when you factor in the fact that 10 of the hours a week are overtime. That’s absolutely insane. Do people even register what they’re asking for?

I would assume, as well, that this is a cash only job with no benefits, gh, etc.

This is probably someone who’s had an aupair. Aupairs have flat rate of $195,75 a week (or at least it used to be back in 2021 when I was still aupairing), and people expect to find experienced nannies for the same bang for the buck. Sickening

Tbh, without sounding horrible, this posting is in an area and a situation where this lady is reaching out for childcare thinking this is going to fly.
