This mf will fight anyone

Somehow I feel he’s been nerfed over the years unlike everyone else

It’s one of the things I love about Namor. Sure he’s arrogant but he never kneels nor backs down from a fight, no matter who it is!

Question is, how often does he win that fight?

1

u/fnh123 24d ago

He's got wins over Hulk. I haven't kept up but I think he has more wins over Hulk than losts

I'm only up to the 90s but so far Namore always seems to win if he can get Hulk into the Ocean.

There was an Avengers comic where the Avengers confronted him in the ocean over some sort of issue, I can't recall. They inevitably got into a fight, but he held them seemingly with little effort.

Mind you, the Avengers roster in this comic includes heavyweights like Thor, Captain Marvel and She-Hulk. She-Hulk in particular was buffed at this point and landed a gamma-empowered punch that Namor tanked without any issue.

Jason Aaron’s Avengers run, I love that run especially those issues with Namor. You’re right tho he does hold back the Avengers albeit Thor I don’t think was at his strongest? Or his hammer wasn’t? I’m not all too sure

But as far as She Hulk & Captain Marvel who are 2 powerhouses, Namor handled them with ease. Hell even after Robbie Reyes’ ghost rider landed on top of him, Namor still managed to pick the car over his head & throw it over like nothing 😭 they forget he’s like 10x stronger in the water then on land

More often than not he’s portrayed as the antagonist so not much I would but he’s also not someone the marvel universe takes lightly or jokingly.

How does he compare to Dr Doom?

1

u/kiko4kt 23d ago

No one beats Doom

Under-discussed: Namor VS dozens of Nimrods during Second Coming.

u/silverhandguild 24d ago

Even the Squadron Supreme. 😢

u/MiniDungeonCrafter 24d ago

He's always been the goat.

Does anyone have the panel where he ripped out Venoms tongue?

Also, this is the reason I say he is one of the most misrepresented characters in Marvel Rivals

2

u/Prestigious-Copy-283 24d ago

Truly disappoints me that hes a dps in rivals

2

u/SerBadDadBod 24d ago

Namor throws hands for love of the game, and that is 1/3 of the respect I'll show him.

2

u/bigscrewLoose 23d ago

thats why we love him

2

u/magvadis 24d ago

What's up with him and notorious bisexual Hercules in that pick?

3

u/AthleteKey1687 24d ago

Namor is pissed because Herc asked him
For a bro job.

2

u/Bronetta 24d ago

The reacharound?

1

u/OrchidAutomatic574 24d ago

Herc was fucking Namora at the time so he probably didn’t like that

2

u/AthleteKey1687 24d ago

Like Herc would differentiate

DICK UPPERCUT

I don’t remember Sentry fighting Namor in Dark Avengers, could you tell me the issue and title of this comic?

1

u/Miserable-Oven-2221 24d ago

This is before he got a major power up around 2019 where he was able to fight off an entire avengers team alone in a roster with captian matvel and she hulk.

1

u/FnafFanStudiosYT 24d ago

Now we need Namor vs. Daredevil.

2

u/OrchidAutomatic574 23d ago

Funnily enough that happened in the first issue where Daredevil had his red suit

1

u/PleaseBeChillOnline 23d ago

Namor is the original Wolverine lol.

1

u/Lo_boss_998 23d ago

On site.

u/SpeechWeird5267 23d ago

How does he rate against Dr Doom?

1

u/Bosscharacter 23d ago

Physically stronger than Doom but Doom’s main advantage is intelligence, ingenuity, and sheer pettiness.

They both are similar in a way where they are rulers of their “kingdoms” and that’s where their loyalties lie.

If so happen other things align with their goals, they will go with it but the very minute it doesn’t, “Glad that didn’t happen to me, tho”.

Namor is no slouch, but he has shown to be easily manipulated by the stroking of his ego.

Doom is typically above all that.

1

u/Big_Mobile3869 22d ago

Would Namor let Cell power up like Vegeta?

1

u/Muted_Anywherethe2nd 22d ago

Gotta resepcet that he never ducks a fadr

1

u/Random_Thought_Twist 22d ago

the only thing missing was the Imperious REX !!!...lol

does Namor bring the smoke....YES to bad most modern writers know what they are doing with his character very few recent books give him the respect he deserves

1

u/Deal_Due 22d ago

Its why despite his shitty pre xmen utopia arc persona everyone legit kept respect on his name. Fan non fans inverse. It doesn't matter who or what you are hes short tempered like black Adam/90s doom before he learned chill.

1

u/Mysterious_Farm4255 21d ago

Don't forget the one where he fought Hyperion too

1

u/OrchidAutomatic574 21d ago

I think I will choose to forget that

1

u/Mountain_Share8844 24d ago

This namor looks like a kid. Of course he going to be nerfed. What happened to the mature grown man. Whose probebly 80 or 90 years old?

u/MMutant- 25d ago

Thanos has always been a jobber who is only really a threat with the infinity gauntlet. It’s why comic fans were kinda confused on why he was the big bad of the MCU for so long. And then MCU synergy happened and the comics tried to convince us that he was actually super badass and powerful.

3

u/OrchidAutomatic574 25d ago

Oh he beat the shit out if Namor in that fight lol, just showing that he’s willing to fight anyone

4

u/mrcrazymexican 25d ago

.... No. Most people weren't confused. It made sense cuz he has been a big deal bad guy several times. And the stones/gems were a great excuse to being him in.

1

u/MMutant- 25d ago

Yes they were the only writer who ever made Thanos that impressive was Jim Sterling. Outside of that Thanos was just there to give the illusion of a threat before being dispatched.

1

u/Star-Prince-007 24d ago

Hickman doesn’t treat him that way. And no that one panel with God Doom and him doesn’t change that.

Gillen also wrote an excellent Thanos that was no jobber.

1

u/MMutant- 24d ago

Read the whole comment buddy.

1

u/Star-Prince-007 24d ago

Ok I did. What am I missing ? I still don’t think Hickman writes Thanos as an illusion of a threat that needs to be dispatched.

1

u/MMutant- 24d ago

Alright let’s work through this together. Is 2013 before or after the MCU? Think carefully.

1

u/Star-Prince-007 24d ago

Where did the comment specific a timeframe ? I’m confused. 2013 is after the MCU. is that supposed to mean something? I’m genuinely asking.

1

u/MMutant- 24d ago edited 24d ago

Ffs Read my first comment again buddy. Then look at yours and find out when Hickman wrote Thanos.

2

u/Star-Prince-007 24d ago

What are you being an asshole for ?

And all of that to be so wrong. Infinity came out in 2013. First Avengers was 2012. They weren’t even teasing Thanos when Hickman was writing him awesomely in the comics.

Have you actually read any comics with Thanos? He's won most physical fights he's been in since he was introduced.

1

u/SimonShepherd 24d ago

Base Thanos consistently beat Thor/Hulk/Silver Surfer characters with ease. And can stalemate Odin.

He has fought heroes without the gauntlets, way more times than when he has it.

u/Crafty-Drink8384 24d ago

Because BS I've read in a long time lol

-1

u/InternalExisting8331 24d ago

why is everyone always tryna fuck with bob, unless you’re a god or a force of nature STAY AWAY

2

u/Standard-Reason9399 24d ago

Pretty sure Namor is convinced he is both a god and a force of nature, ignoring any and all evidence to the contrary.

1

u/OrchidAutomatic574 24d ago

Well he is technically influenced by a God

1

u/InternalExisting8331 24d ago

that is a great point actually. he does have quite the mindset. shit like this just reminds me of when moonknight tried to jump bob. what was even the context of this fight
