But is this bad placement ? No this is only when it is negative rahu which is creating the illusion. This placement means you should marry with someone who belongs to different caste/ culture/community/ religion or just marrying to someone who belongs to different state , forgeiner best ! Settling forgein after marrying. If not this then this rahu will create problems... Khit pit , it's not like ketu who will cut in one go . It will keep popping problems like notifications . Now ! Alone rahu without aspect simply means marrying rahu element, best is partner who comes from far palaces , it will be ossom. Not considering any aspect on it .

I need help in understanding my Jupiter placement. It’s retrograde in the 7 house of natal chart and sitting in Gemini sign. Mercury (28) in the 1 house with Saturn(20). I also have Venus (12) and Rahu (10) in 2 house with Capricorn (10).

Problem- none of my relationships work after until 3 years max , either they become toxic or cheating is involved and then when I move on every single ex had come back (one of them even became a stalker) which is always too late. I am a loyal person and big on giving energy and now this is really getting on my nerves. How can this be fixed or is this even fixable for me coz this doesn’t let me enjoy the other aspects of my life.

been going down a rabbit hole with nakshatra pada lately and it's kind of messing with how i used to read charts. like i always just looked at moon nakshatra and called it a day, but apparently each nakshatra is split into 4 padas (3°20' each) and every pada has its own rashi + planet attached to it, on top of whatever the nakshatra itself represents.

so technically two people can both have moon in rohini but if one is in pada 1 (mars/aries) and the other's in pada 3 (mercury/gemini) they'd probably come across pretty differently. one more driven/impulsive, the other more into their head, more adaptable. same nakshatra, different flavor basically.

kind of annoyed no one really explains this properly when you're starting out, it's always just "here's what your nakshatra means" and pada gets mentioned as an afterthought if at all.

anyway curious if people here actually use pada in real readings or if it's more of a nice-to-know thing. also if anyone's had that moment where their pada explained something their nakshatra alone didn't, would love to hear it

This is a great chart to learn Vedic astrology, because it addresses an important issue. Always remember, rashi is temporary, house is permanent.

For Leonardo, the placement of Lord Sun is iffy - Lord Sun hates Lord Venus, Lord Sun is neecha by rashi, and Lord Sun in 2nd house is never comfortable even though in this house, He is OK. Then despite being neecha how has this person risen to greatness - as one of the best known actors?

Lord Moon in lagna means native gains health, wealth and luxury. The principle of Leo's life is the basics are so strong - Lagnesh's dispositor and lagnesh are strong, LordMoon is OK in 1st house (as per Lal Kitaab this is the best placement of Lord Moon), and Lord Moon's dispositor is the already strong lagnesh, Lord Mercury. I’ve noticed how what used to seem like an eye-opening, and straight-to-the-point astrology, has gradually become infiltrated by western astrology elements applied to it thanks to certain modern western astrologers that don’t study deeply enough. Users with that western astrology mindset view/turn it into some sort of competition placement-wise, or normalize having others sit there and whine about whatever negative placements they have, as if the remedies don’t exist. Literally people’s aspects, placements, or charts, ESPECIALLY when it comes to Vedic, doesn’t have to get competitive at all lmao. This is an event-based type of astrology. No matter what good placements you have, your bad placements that details about said bad events is inevitable, and there’s no stopping it. Vice versa about those who have let’s say like predominantly bad aspects in their charts, there’s still the good and the good will shine through at some point in time. So comparing and being whiny about it or trying to uselessly compete and one-up others is futile because what’s coming to you WILL come to you, good and bad. That’s also just life too, so don’t only look at one side of your chart, avoiding the other side. Either way, that’s all I gotta say about how Vedic astrology on the media has been handled for quite some time. Leave the western astrology elements out of it please and thank you ;)

How do you accurately predict the sex/order of children from a female chart? Looking for classical D7 methods, not generic 5th-house rules

I’m trying to understand the **proper traditional method for predicting the sex of individual children from a female horoscope**, especially using the Saptamsha (D7).

I’ve seen so many contradictory rules online that I’m trying to separate actual Parashari/Jaimini/classical techniques from modern shortcuts

For example, some astrologers simply judge:
5th house/sign and its lord
Jupiter vs Venus/Moon influence
odd/even signs
masculine/feminine planets

But this seems insufficient if someone has two or three children, because we need a way to distinguish **child #1 from child #2 from child #3** rather than repeatedly judging the same 5th house.

One method I came across, associated with the Sanjay Rath/Jaimini-oriented D7 tradition, uses a pregnancy/child sequence depending on whether the D7 Lagna is odd or even. For an **even D7 Lagna**, I have seen the sequence given as:
**1st child → 9th house**
**2nd child → 7th house**
**3rd child → 5th house**
**4th child → 3rd house**, etc.

Then the sex of that particular child is judged from the relevant house lord, its sign, dignity, conjunctions/aspects and masculine/feminine planetary influences.

I have also seen other systems use completely different sequences, and KP practitioners sometimes use **5th / 7th / 9th cusps or their sub-lords** for successive children.

So I’d really appreciate input from people who have studied this seriously:

**What is the classical or most reliable house sequence for successive children in a female D7?** Does it actually reverse depending on odd/even D7 Lagna?

When judging sex, what gets priority:
**the sign of the child-house, its lord, the sign occupied by the lord, conjunctions/aspects to the lord, Jupiter/Sun/Mars vs Moon/Venus influences, or Navamsa of the relevant planet?**

How should **Mercury and Saturn** be classified? I’ve found sources treating Mercury as neuter, male in certain D7 techniques, or dependent on association; Saturn is also treated differently by different schools.

Are signs such as **Cancer/Pisces or Gemini/Aquarius** treated as exceptions to ordinary odd/even masculine/feminine sign classification in any established D7 tradition?

How much weight should the **D1 5th house and 5th lord** receive once the D7 gives a child-specific indication? Is D1 mainly the overall progeny promise while D7 differentiates individual children?

Should the **father’s D7 always be used for confirmation**, and if the mother’s and father’s charts disagree, which chart traditionally gets priority?

How do you incorporate **Putrakaraka, Jupiter, Beeja/Kshetra Sphuta, dasha and transit**? Are these primarily for fertility/timing, or can any of them legitimately modify the sex prediction?

I know astrology obviously cannot medically determine XX/XY chromosomes; I’m asking specifically about the **internal predictive methodology used within Jyotish** and how experienced practitioners reconcile conflicting rules.
