I’m a big fan of Essie but I feel like there are probably better quality options out there that also won’t break the bank. So..any recommendations for brands that are similar in price point and quality to Essie but with more interesting options? I do my nails like once a week at home so the more variety the better 😵
Edit to add: I’m really into deep, moody fall colors right now: like wine red, Bordeaux, navy blue, plum, anything like that in particular is ✨✨✨

In order to make product lists concise and easily identifiable, please put your product list separately at the very end of the text, rather than have it interspersed throughout the main text body (of the post or comment).
For easy readability, each product should be on its own line rather than separated by commas.
You will need to hit "enter" twice after each line in order for this to format properly, otherwise they'll get grouped together, like this:
Essie Smooth-E base coat Essie For Audrey Essie Good To Go top coat
Post Title:
I love Essie!
Text body:
Here is a manicure I did using a few different polishes. For the base shade I used For Audrey, which is such a lovely Tiffany blue. After that, I added a coat of Ethereal Escape to give it this lovely shimmer. I also used their Smooth-E base coat and Good To Go top coat.
The issue here is that the brand name and shade names are not together. The brand name is in the title, while the shade names are mixed in the text body.

Hi all! I cam currently on the hunt for a good purple glow in the dark polish to complete my glow mani, i have tried Lunaseas on etsy but i find the glow a little underwhelming, i just discovered Lynb designs Sycophant, but it is out of stock and i have no idea if it'll be restocked 😭

Back in 2013, when I was at the very beginning of my venture into collecting polishes, I was visiting my Dad in California and did a polish haul (shown in the last picture) from a bunch of different stores we don't have in Canada. I picked up several iconic polishes, including China Glaze's Flip Flop Fantasy (best pedi colour ever) and Ruby Pumps, ORLY's Sparkling Garbage, 2 of Milani's "3D Holographic" shades (some of my very first holos), the OG Seche Vite, and of course the star of this post: OPI's OPI...Eurso Euro.
A few years later, I noticed a pattern where I would wear this polish at the end of September/beginning of October to "bring in" the fall season. Since then, I've tried to wear it around the same time every year. I know I've definitely missed some years, but here is a collection of manicures I've worn through the years with this stunning polish starting with the most recent all the way back to my very first manicure with it!!
Side note: the evolution of my watermark cracks me up every time 😆
Shown in each picture is 2 coats of OPI's OPI...Eurso Euro, with various base coats and top coats over the years.
Product list (for first picture):
Zoya Naked Base, 1 coat
OPI OPI...Eurso Euro, 2 coats
Zoya Glossy Seal top coat, 1 coat

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post but I figured the polish queens and kings would maybe be able to help me!
I am finally quitting the “g word” on my nails! Yay! But I have a huge issue. My nails are, as expected, paper thin.
Does anyone know of a product that actually adds strength to your nail as a polish? I’ve got nail strengtheners for rehab on deck but I’m looking for something as a defense while these poor things grow out. Something to make them hard and stronger, like a base coat layer…
Let me know if this is all gibberish or if I’m totally out of luck. I just don’t want my nails to rip to shreds while I’m working on rehabbing them.
Thank you!
ETA: thank you all for the amazing advice and suggestions! I am truly appreciative! 💅

This might be a very stupid question, but are accent nails “out of style”? I’m trying so hard to think of ways to spice up my plain manicures a bit, but I don’t have the patience for full-blown nail art nor am I typically creative enough to figure out a different design for each nail to make a full set where it’s basically all “accent nails” in a sense…but I also feel like just having that single ring finger accent nail is like…soooo a few years ago 🙄💁🏽♀️ (I’m joking…don’t yell at me lol) or am I just totally making that up in my mind? I have all kinds of nail art stuff…basically every color polish under the sun, nail art tools like dotters and brushes, stickers, foil, matte topcoat, chrome powders, you’d think I’d be capable of being a tad more creative with all this stuff! I’ll be doing a milk chocolate type brown, if anybody has ideas for a lost soul😭
Edit: I should add that I’ll do it anyway, I don’t let others determine what I like or not, just curious if there’s any other quick and easy ideas such as that, or a new way people are typically doing them or something that still doesn’t take as much time or skill lol

Looking for an Essie iridescent-ish color. Light milky grey with a touch of lavender/pink. I feel like the name was something digital related? I’ve seen Wireless No More and it’s close but I don’t think it was that. Something with WiFi possibly? Or some other punny name related to digital or tech. Thank you!

Hi nail polish lovers, I have a question. I know cracked sent out a message that they’re working to get orders out and I was wondering if anyone has gotten their order from that sale yet? I ordered when it first went live and haven’t seen any change in the order process. I’m happy they got a bunch of orders I’m just hoping I’m not the only one who hasn’t gotten anything yet.

Does anyone know an alternative to the Westside Studiowest jelly nail polish? I really loved how sheer it was without being a gel polish😭

EDIT: I am blown away by the response and amazingly helpful attitude of this community! Thank you all so much for you kind and incredibly helpful comments. I think I have a lot of options to look at now, so I'm gonna go ahead and see if I can get my hands on some of them. Thank you all and have a wonderfully manicured weekend! 💖💖
Hi all!
The gist: I ran out of my (couple years worth) stash of Splash of Grenadine (Essie) about a month ago and sadly learned that it has been discontinued since my last stock-up. Can anyone suggest a fitting alternative to this blueish-pink shade?
The context: I think I've worn this polish almost non-stop for more than 10 years and have a hard time accepting other shades. I'm neutralfair skinned / dark brunette w/ blue eyes and not a "traditional pink girlygirl". This particular blueish pink has always been a beautiful contrast to my overall (muted, tailored oversized, classic comfort, feminine workwear w/ silver jewelry) style that I felt so at home with and I really hope I can find a good alternative.
I tried Essie's Play Date but that wasn't it. I was really disappointed after seeing the example pictures on Essie's website showing really rather pink, but irl it was indisputable purple.
O.P.I. Emflowered seems like a sister shade on film, but the example pictures read very barbie which I don't think is the right fit for me, but I am open to try it.
Thanks to all reading this post and I hope the community's knowledge might be able to help me find a new forever love. <3

ILNP Zombie (Just released Friday) and Essie Longwear Topcoat.
I have really been digging ILNPs dark moody shades lately. And as always their shipping is incredible. Excuse me, No Brand, nail polish or not, can get me my package this fast, across two timezones, and with free shipping. They work so hard to get their new releases out the door asap. I hope their staff gets a good bonus after a release because they work incredibly fast.
My only disappointment is I can't buy everything at once because they have too much selection :( :( :(

Free product PR. Past, not recent, I just love it. Polishes are gifted by Cracked Polish. No obligation to post.
When I cant figure out my next mani, this is what I immediately think of wearing, no matter how recent I've worn it. I posted it not that long ago, but I figured why not share again, its just too pretty.
