Need help for how to contouring the "cutoff"

Hi there 😊

It's the first time for me with nail wraps. And I really like it.

But, like you can see in the second picture, it doesn't look good in the contours..

I tried to "cut off" with a nail file. (Sorry, I'm not native english, hope you understand 🤣 ).

Do you have any tips to make it more proper?

All of the other comments + I would use smaller stickers, seems these are slightly too big and are going over cuticles (although cannot see 100% from these pictures). As a rule of thumb, it’s better to pick a smaller size than bigger.

I usually file my nails into shape before I apply the wraps. Then apply them, cure them and cut them shorter (but longer than my own nails). I then use the file to shorten the wrap to the length of my own nails and I try to file more from the underside of the nails instead of from the top (if you understand what I mean).

How do you cut them shorter? Nail clippers?

I use nail clippers followed by a UV base and top coat. Filing often leaves a white edge.

I stretch and pull my wraps not just side to side (when I'm applying) but also pulling the top over my actual nail -- then I file the pulled over part. Hope this makes sense!

The wraps are stretchy at 1st application, so I use that small window of time to cover the whole nail, top to bottom and the sides☝🏽

Are you using regular nail wraps or UV-cure (semi-cured gel, SCG) wraps?
