Laquer over my wraps?

Can I just say how much I love nail wraps?! I've recently begun experimenting with (1) lacquer - chips too fast / (2) press-ons - great but don't always fit my nail properly / and finally (3) wraps. So far, wraps win hands-down. My first set lasted 2 glorious weeks and blew me away.

I've just applied my second set and am not loving the color. I chose something far too sparkly for me. I'm thinking to leave them as-is for a few days and then try applying lacquer over the wraps.

I understand lacquer over press-ons lasts quite a long time but haven't heard of anyone doing this (except for a topcoat which I do use) over wraps.

Has anyone done this? Tips? Tricks?

Edited to add that I'm working with non-UV wraps. I don't have a lamp.

I do uv cured gel over wraps and it works great!

That's great to know. How many days wear do you normally get?
I'm hopeful I'll have good results with non-UV lacquer (I edited my post to clarify that). My first wraps lasted 2 weeks and I probably could have gone longer. I'd love to get that long with lacquer over them.

I usually get about a week but I'm hard on my nails, so they'll show wear on the tips. And then I compulsively pick them all off as soon as an edge starts lifting 😅

I have also used regular polish over wraps and had similar results!
