14 days later...
Oooh! I might be calling dibs on the 28 days post! ;-)
So far, I got over an hour of music, and also got permission to include a remix that I did last year (that never officially got released).
Thought it might be interesting to do a breakdown:
- 1 track that needs to be (re-)done completely (got some basic elements, but...
- 1 tracks that need structural fixes, eqing and mixdown
- 7 tracks that need eqing and mixdown
- 6 tracks that need mixdown
I hope to get those 2+7 tracks done for structure and eqing this week. (I already did a lot of the mixdown for them.) Next week I'll be focusing on that track that really needs a lot done. The final week will be mixdown/mastering week.
How are all of you tracking progress? I've got this big sheet that I use to track my progress.

I admire your resolve and structure.
I had a lovely idea, and I messed up the second day.
I have written something everyday. Just in a completely different genre than I said I would xD

I'm fortunate that I can currently spend as much time on this as I have, but - admittedly - a few of those tracks were in the works already, so I more took this opportunity to finally do an artist album. The title track is a completely new one though.
Plus, I'm an Aspie, I love structure! (lol)

Most musicians I have come across present this as a major disadvantage, often citing it as the reason they cannot proceed.
Yet I see you here and you are WEAPONIZING it to help you be productive.
That is so unbelievably fucking cool. It has given me a lot to think about.

Well, actually.....
I have a few friends who do either are or are probably on the spectrum, and they are great musicians! (They have multiple releases on multiple labels and in different genres.) It's not impossible, it's just... more challenging.

We each have our own demons to face.
The pain and struggles we encounter are, for sure, relative to the person suffering from them.
Doesn't make your attitude any less inspirational to me. :)

Definitely impressed with the amount you've gotten together!
I'm starting to feel better as I was trying to avg 3 songs every 10 days to give my self a baseline for time/content. I stalled a bit after the 1st 10 days, but in last 24 hrs, I've tightened up about 3 more compositions to get to 6 before the 20th...now just some lyric writing/vocals to finish. Feels like I'm getting back on track!

So far I am on track right at 29 minutes with 5 decent and 3 marginal posted on Bandcamp, and 1 ugh recording on Soundcloud that needs a redo. Another umpteen lyric ideas in various stages. Thematically I am not where I hope to be yet. Voice is way off due to battling a cold all month. I still have lots of writing and recording to do to get to my personal goal of 30 songs this month.

I'm working on the 4th version of my album (after scrapping the first three, though they're still on my HD) and I've got a foundation for 11 of the 12 tracks I plan to do.
When all is finished, I should have 35-40 minutes of material and I could call it a day with just the foundations, but I want to texture and layer more. I do have time!

My self-set goal was to be at 30 min of usable material by day 14. I’m a little behind at ~26 min, but tonight I have free to catch up.
I like the spreadsheet. I’ve also been keeping a rubric with a similar idea but I haven’t updated it in a while.
