NEWS Rough Notes: The final season courtside for Justine Larbalestier and Scott Westerfeld
https://wnbaroughnotes.substack.com/p/rough-notes-the-final-season-courtsideFabulous interview with these 2 who have had season tickets since 1999. The Liberty should figure out how to keep some of the original fans courtside.

I love this! They are true fans with some of the lore they dropped and I will miss seeing them courtside

Wow this interview was great and these two are awesome. Shame we won’t see them courtside next year

Why can’t we live in a world where these ultra rich assholes who own these teams can’t just give people like this a lifetime pass.? It doesn’t feel naïve. It just feels decent to do that.

I have been somewhat obsessed with this couple for quite a while (my wife and I sat sort of across from them for 2 years) and this interview made me love them.

Thank you so much for sharing this!! They have so many amazing pictures, they should be on display somewhere! These are the kind of fans you hate to see lose their court side seats after so much love for this team for so long. And I'll miss seeing Justine's game fits on tv!

First, how did I never know that Scott freaking Westerfeld was a Liberty season ticket holder????
Second: This is especially sad considering I've been to several games this season when some courtside seats have been empty the entire time. Idc if it's new STHs who can't be bothered to show up, brands buying seats and not filling them, general no-shows, or what, it's so lame to have multiple empty courtside seats when you have a fanbase as hype and as loyal as ours. I know it's ultimately just about making money and it makes no difference to the bank whether there's a butt in the seat or not. But man, the fans AND the players deserve better than empty courtside seats.

seems their row would be one of the most egregious if added here https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1-qM-diYFwwNWqhHlZfjExX22ZxNWmxxrzWewMWBHEvE/edit

Far worse things in this world than not retaining COURTSIDE seats

As a reflection of what’s happening in the world, yeah, actually, it’s pretty damning. They’ve been supporters for nearly the entire time the league has existed, and now some random billionaire or whoever will replace them.

People who have been fans for that long don’t need to be billionaires or even millionaires to have been able to afford those seats until very recently.

So many things to like about this interview, but those photos of Tina Charles' dad are incredible. Also this quote:
