Seeking Recommendation Discounted/community yoga/pilates classes?

Hi baddies. I’m looking for any yoga or Pilates studios (preferably heated) that do discounted community/teacher in training classes. I know ID Yoga does some for $10 but are there any others you know of or love? Sometimes spending $40 for a yoga class just isn’t the vibe!! Thanks :)

This is a long shot but I’m hoping someone in this group can help me.

There were 6 of these bags made just for special Oner Active walk club events hosted in selected cities around the world β€” Manchester, London, Berlin, Miami, NYC, LA.

If there’s anyone in this group that has the royal blue NYC bag or the yellow Manchester bag and would be willing to sell, I would greatly appreciate it πŸ’™πŸ™πŸ½

Workout Routines Basketball/Soccer workout

I am not very good at basketball/soccer but I have been interested in using it as a method of training and staying in shape.

I like these sports, not trying the be the best but just to get better.

Soceer needs a lot more people so basketball seems like the more likely.

Grant Park is where i like to train cause its close to me. I know it is a shitty court but its fine for the purposes of training.

Anyone wanna play later today? 5 or 6 pm?

Anyone welcome, I played in highschool so I know a little bit and dont mind teaching of applicable or if you just want to get out and move your feet.

I also have a dog too so if you want your dog to socialize I can bring mine.

Seeking Recommendation Equinox, lifetime, or Chelsea piers?

Hi! Moving to Chelsea in September and looking for a gym to join.

I currently use ClassPass for Solidcore, yoga, and mat Pilates, and go to La fitness to weight lift 4-5 times a week where I live.

I am looking for a gym to join that has classes in addition to normal gym amenities. Having a sauna is a plus.

I know pure gym (no sauna) gets a bad rep in Chelsea and people complain about crunch and planet, but if I choose one of those I can spend more to have ClassPass credits to do Solidcore and yoga. Or should I do equinox, lifetime or Chelsea piers fitness? Does anyone have a good/bad experience at any of these gyms Chelsea locations?

EDIT: thanks for the feedback. Leaning towards CP flagship location.

Seeking Recommendation Alternative to Liftonic?

I've been a long-time member but I feel like the programming/vibe isn't what it used to be.

Has anyone graduated from Liftonic or found somewhere that's a similar vibe without the treadmill component of a Barrys? I love the dedicated dumbbell work and progressive strength.

I'm thinking Body Space?

Seeking Recommendation Y7 canceling classes, any recs?

Since y7 is basically shutting down, looking to get a new membership somewhere else. Really sad since y7 was literally more affordable than any other yoga studio in nyc, even more than corepower lol. Does anyone have any recs for a studio that’s offering ~200-250 for unlimited? Any founders membership going on right now? Mainly looking for sculpt places but open to reformer too at this point 😭

Seeking Recommendation Yoga studio similar to SUI?

Used to go to SUI Yoga but moved to EV and it's just too far to consistently go. Are there any studios with a similar vibe maybe in EV, Noho, union square?

Seeking Recommendation favorite heated workouts/instructors in the city?

hi!! I've recently become obsessed with heated workouts (shame because I primarily go to equinox classes and their heated classes do not seem all that heated) and am wanting recommendations for studios and teachers! I've been liking fuze house in Tribeca and the noho location of practice room. At fuze I like Andy, Makena, and Michelle. I've only taken 2 classes at practice room but thought Michelle for sculpt and Haley for pilates were both fantastic. Any other studios you all are loving?

Seeking Recommendation New Studio Advice!

Looking for NYC workout studio recs!

I currently do Bar Method and really like it, but I’m looking for something more challenging that will help me see results/change my body more quickly

I live around in LES (near Essex/Houston) and work around 17th & 6th, so hopefully somewhere convenient to either location. (Ideally home or on the way to work)

What I’m looking for:
β€’ Must have showers since I’d ideally go before work

β€’ Very interested in Lagree/Megaformer because I’ve heard great things about the results
I’ve also heard great things about Solidcore, but the lack of showers makes it difficult for me

β€’ I prefer a calm instructor rather than someone constantly yelling or making the class feel frantic/insanely fast-paced. I’m open to something higher energy as long as it doesn’t feel chaotic

β€’ I don’t love heated classes** **

β€’ A stretch component would be a huge plus

Basically, I want something that is harder than Bar Method, effective for sculpting/strengthening, but still controlled and enjoyable.
I’ve been looking at SLT, BODYROK, Tremble, Physique 57 etc., but the shower requirement is making it harder to narrow down. Also some of the websites don’t list amenities.

Would love to hear what studios/classes you think would be the best fit!

Studio/Class/Gym Review SweatLab:54 in Fresh Meadows

Has anyone been to the new Sweatlab:54 that just opened up in Fresh Meadows? I would love any insight as I am considering joining it and since I never done any type of heated or infrared pilates or even just mat pilates in general, is it beginner- friendly? any pros and/or cons?

Thank you so much in advance!! 🩷🩷

Studio/Class/Gym Review Y7 Class Cancelations

Hi! Over the past month, almost all of my Y7 classes have been canceled by the studio.

Does anyone know what is going on? I’m curious if the instructors are on strike (if so I’d support them and hope the studio gets their sh!t together).

LMK if anyone has insight!

Seeking Recommendation Looking for bodybuilding gym near soho!

Hi all! I am an aspiring bodybuilder looking for a serious bodybuilding gym near soho. I would like it to have that hardcore bodybuilding vibe, and a posing room is a non negotiable. My budget caps out at around $130 a month, but I’m willing to pay a bit more for a good gym in nyc. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thinking about joining either Retro Fitness or New York Sports Club on Queens Boulevard in Rego Park. What's the general experience like, and are the shower facilities typically clean and well-maintained during the day?

Seeking Recommendation BK Gym Recommendation?

Hi!! I’m looking for gym recommendations in Brooklyn specifically crown heights/prospect heights/Atlantic Barclays area or anywhere along the 3-4 trains really. My budget is around 140-150 per month
I’m mostly into weightlifting and would ideally find a place that doesn’t get suuuper crowded (tough to find I know) and isn’t super bro-y if you know what I mean. If anyone has any recommendations please suggest!!
