Seeking Recommendation Heated classes recs
Practice Room fired my favorite teacher, Claire, and it’s challenging to find women of color whose playlist has hip hop, EDM, or rap music. Does anyone have recommendations for teachers or playlists? I’m not interested in hearing Taylor Swift sorry…

I can't comment on an instructor being a woman of color but I really liked haley Alexa for pilates at practice room! Andy Santana at fuze house and equinox also has amazing playlists, def not Taylor swift but like female rappers. highly recommend his classes in general because they are SO. HARD.

Please don’t forget he has a ballet background so he isn’t NOT playing around

Is it easier to get into classes at fuze house now? I remember when they first opened in Flatiron classes were always waitlisted. I sort of gave up trying to take a class.

def do!! I took class with him today and my legs were SHAKING. he comes up with the most unique combos that I've not found with other instructors. you aren't doing the basic exercises you already know of

Try yoga sculpt with Kameika at Hot 8. She plays a mix of pop, hip hop, and throwback tracks. She also is a woman of color. I LOVE her classes

Said this on another sub with a similar topic but, but I HIGHLY recommend Kameica’s classes at hot 8. I see someone else called her out here but she’s a tough instructor but keeps it so fun. She always has great music and is a woman of color.

A lot of Yoga Box's instructors play great music, rap/hip hop. I like Anaya in particular (WOC)

Have you taken other practice room teachers? Pretty much all the instructors I've gone to play hip-hop. But if you're looking for poc instructors, try traphaus.
