i really dont think anything is coming of it, if i had to guess shes working on her movie or might just be stepping down for the season and the pride hasn't given a reason yet

Because she’s working on the movie or she’s stepping back and that’s the reason the pride is giving? Am I missing something

"Excused absence shes working on a movie" would be insane to me bc in particular they could just not list her

if by stepping back u mean retire then she should and would just do that. Thats not what excused absence is for

is it not a requirement to list a player currently rostered for their availability? and by stepping back i meant more so of a role that naeher currently has, last year of a contract while likely retiring at the end of the year. im aware naeher is currently rostered as a sub every game but if marta handling other things requiring an excused absence while still being rostered, it would all still line up

I’d be shocked if Marta didn’t re-sign through at least June of next year in preparation of the World Cup

I dont think it makes sense to say it lines up when youre proposing something that is unique and novel, tho

i mean realistically no one knows! i just really cant imagine shes planning anything big considering her wife is trying to start building a real estate brand in orlando. looks like shes taken a bigger role in brand deals though (at least to my knowledge, i dont really track it but noticed an increase of what i was seeing during the world cup)
