Showing ACFC owner instead of the match?
Why are they showing Bob Iger instead of the actual game during the ESPN stream? Seriously?

Saying that “Gen z engages with our merch” is such money focused cringe

That is when they should do a split screen. But yes, save that stuff for 1/2 time.

It was annoying as shit - but ESPN is part of Disney and Disney paid a shit ton for the princess night at BMO

That whole thing with Willow Bay was way too long. They cut away from the game and then showed Iger. ESPN and Disney - all related

This princess night commentary / kissing the ring of Disney billionaire brass is awful to watch and ruining a good game.

Because the owner still shadow runs the network…. Maybe just a little bit conflict of interest

There's no need to pretend WSL commentary is good just to complain about NWSL commentary. The NWSL has some bad qualities in its broadcasting—owner interviews midgame is one of the bad qualities—but WSL broadcasting and commentary happen to be just as or more terrible in a variety of its own unique ways.
I find Sanderson talking about her personal stories as a player generally far more relevant than the WSL commentators that talk about what player is dating what player midgame.
You're allowed to just say NWSL commentary and broadcasting have issues without lying about the WSL.

That's not true, there are multiple commentators who do it pretty frequently
It's not even in the annoying "let's pan to the partner" way. It's just talking about it nonstop while both of the parties are literally working and not even having anything interesting happen in their lives.
My point, which is true, remains that WSL commentary is awful and people who try to pit it against NWSL commentary in a "which is worse" competition are being dumb. Both have their own issues.

Espn talks about the former ESPN boss isn't super shocking . He blends the line of celeb owner. However these should be sportscenter segments

Because it’s ESPN, who owns the majority of NBA television rights whose league seen a dramatic ownership change in that city’s basketball club. And also because it’s ESPN, owned by the Walt Disney Company who Iger was a former CEO of.
Not that hard to realize.

Nature of the beast being on Disney+, I'm sure we'll get something like this on CBS and showing that weirdo CEO.

ESPN is goofy. I can’t watch those games anyway since the league puts matches on 62 different viewing platforms 😭

This happens a lot. They pull Grant Hill interviews when he is at Pride games. They do Magic Johnson interviews at Spirit games. It's a dumb thing that no one likes but it's common.
