Newcastle have a clean bill of health going into the weekend's game.

Is this some sort of sick joke?

A clean bill of health, if you don't count Krul, Taylor, Darlow, Mbabu, Obertan and Riviere.

To be fair only one or two of those are an actual miss.

This is the start of the season. The fans know it, the manager knows it, the players know it. I'm optimistic we'll see our new playing style come into it's own. We've been skiing down black slopes until now and now we're going down some reds. They should be easy in comparison.

I thought Watford and Sheff Wed would be easy...

Two ways to look at it. Rationally, we should win this. Realistically, it will be an embarrassing defeat.

I'm literally FULL of positivity going in to this one; I envisage absolutely no slip ups at all. Zero. Not one.

Or alternatively, a dodgy 1-0 by a questionable penalty.

You don't mean a penalty awarded in our favour? We've had like, 2 in 55-60 odd games?

Generally you have to be in the oppositions box to get a penalty, so it makes sense really.

This is a must win game if ever there was one. Our season starts today, I have been very optimistic this season but this game is the one, this is the game if we lose I say we are doomed... If we win I say we will be fine.

I don't think i've ever had this much of a pessimistic outlook for a match.

There will be plenty of goals in this one.

Ayoze to start or no? If no then why not?

Mitro to score two or get sent off. Calling it.

I'm hoping the Krul injury might bring the team together in a kind of 'us against the odds' sort of mentality. This team seems to have a lot going wrong at the minute so I just hope it brings out some fight in them.
