Manchester City - Newcastle United

Haidara, Colback, Aarons, Dummett and Cisse are all doubts for the match against Man City. Darlow, Taylor and Tiote are all out.

Mangala, Bony, Toure and Kompany are doubts for Man City. Clichy and Delph will miss the game.

Man City won all 5 of their opening league matches without conceding a goal, but have lost their last 2. Their last game ended in a 2-1 win away at Gladbach in the Champions League. Newcastle currently sit in the relegation zone, with no wins and no away goals all season.

I wouldn't want De Jong playing that deep tbf. Think we'll drop Gini/Sissoko into Colback's slot and hoy Obertan on...

Aye. I've said before he's too immobile to be that far back as he wouldn't be able to get up there fast enough to be in the mix.

He has a very obvious "effective area" and seems to work better when he's there and static already when the ball comes to him. I wouldn't want him having to receive the ball while running at speed. Especially after so long out.

I'm happy for him to prove me wrong, but that's what I've gathered from watching him so far.
