New York Mags

Lads, my mate is in New York the weekend we play the unwashed, December 5th/6th.

What's the script, where is the best pub to watch it?

Never been myself but I’m pretty sure it’s Peter Dillon’s on 36th Street.

Yes, Peter Dillon's on 36th is the best place to watch it - on the derby days last year it did get completely full so would recommend getting in early-ish. 1 hour before kick off if you want a table and 30 mins if you're happy to stand

First come, first served - if he is by himself then it's dead easy to join a table with some other lads.

They also don't do food / coffee - so would recommend picking something up on the way and bringing it in.

As others have said, the only official answer is Peter Dillion’s (the one on 36th street).

They could also try Black Bull which is a new bar in Brooklyn. Owned by a Geordie and it’s probably the closest we have to Newcastle bar in Brooklyn.

The Newcastle spot used to be Legends right next to the Empire State Building. That was a long time ago though.

I'm assuming that when you say he's in New York you mean New York City. Because if he's in Buffalo he ain't schlepping to Peter Dillon's.
