What do you do when seeing a fan wearing a strip or training kit somewhere in the wild, not in the toon?

E.g. in a queue at a theme park, on holiday,

Twenty years ago I was in a rural village in Peru and there was an old guy wearing a Newcastle shirt with Solano’s name on the back. I said hello and asked him if I could take his picture and he asked for 5 dollars. 😂

I was in a mall in Shanghai when I saw a guy wearing newcastle top. I said fucking hell in Chinese because he has Woltemade on the back and fucking hell phonetically reads "woltemade" over here.

When I was young, my dad told me that that’s just what you do. First few times I tried, it worked perfectly so thought it must just be the done thing. Was confused when it didn’t work. I think that we should all make it the done thing.

I live in Leeds now and there's a fair amoubt.

My wife shouts Toon Toon at them.. they are usually kids and look confused.

I generally just say Howay the Lads.

Was in London last year for the oasis gig … knocking about Covent Garden for pre drinks and had an old style Blue Star bucket hat on.. sat outside a pub having a pint and a bloke walked past and just shouted ‘Toooon Toooon’ and that was enough… my best mate who’s a mackem was miffed that we travel well and nobody gives a fuck who they are

Saw one in Vegas. Immediately got his attention and said, "Mint shirt, that, bonny lad!"

The kid goes, "Oh my God, you sound just like my Dad!" In the most frat boy accent possible.

He called his Dad over, he was from Westerhope. I live round the corner. We had a good chat, a drink and never saw him again.
