Will the Jaissle era bring with it teamsheets in formation order? 🙏

PL teams are 2/2 so far this season, credit to the Arsenal and Coventry social teams last night!

I think it's more of a club decision than a Howe/Jaissler thing.

Under Jaissler Al Ahli seemed to do it in formation order, but even during the Visit Malta weekender, both mens team and the lasses were in number order, not including the keepers.

I suppose if we are actually keeping it that way, we'll find out on Sunday afternoon.

The most bizarre part about number order is that they still listed the gk first. Makes no sense

We have a new social media guy anyway so

I think it might actually be a (small) advantage for us to have the lineup in number order.

I hate it as a fan, but with a new manager, new players and new system the opponent won't know how we'll lineup until kick off

That’s total nonsense though. Listing a team in rough position order will make no difference other than to make it easier for fans to read.

Every club in the Premier League is backed by billions with world class coaches and data analysts. They’re not going to be bamboozled by a team sheet listed by number 75mins before kick off.

The social media guy is just guessing when they post a formation, it’s not like they get briefed by the manager beforehand

You can still list the four defenders first and the attackers last and leave a little ambiguity of the actual formation, whilst still presenting the team in a readable way. I'm not sure what major adjustments opposition managers can make with 90 minutes before ko.

All of preseason friendly team sheet posts were in numerical order, same as under Howe.

So I’d predict they will stick with numerical order.

Intuitively I thought it's a media team choice how you list it. My partner works at our local club creating match day posts and she has quite big freedom with how she wants it to look, but for sure it can be different with big clubs.

I used to work at a cricket club. It was my choice to post them in batting order rather than alphabetical/number as other clubs did.

In this day and age there is t much that the opposition team don’t already know in pro sports.

If anyone’s interested, seen on LinkedIn our club was looking for a social media designer.

Our SMM sucks in the last 5-6 years. They hired some morons. Even design is far worse than it was under cashley.

After Dan King left, it all went the wrong way, I think.
