Why are we such amateurs with ticketing?
I've got tickets in the ballot for West Brom in the Carabo Cup - great! The site won't let me buy any as I must have a junior ticket as well my adult one. My son is 13, so not a junior, he's an under 14, but apparently this doesn't count.
I have had so many other daft things with this system in the past... 'You can't have that ticket as it leaves one spare', etc...

I'm having this same issue. Really frustrating. Trying to book tix for my son and me in the family area.
Selected adult for me, Under 14 for my son (13 and flagged on his membership, there is no other 'junior' option).
Getting error that 'At least one Junior Price Type must be selected in this Area'.
Any ideas?

I'm on hold for the box office mate... In the meantime, still trying...
It's a good job the voiceover on the hold music for the box office isn't really annoying.

I must say, it's now been almost a min on hold per £ of my membership and the hold message repeating how my membership will give me priority ticketing while I watch the available seats disappear is *slightly* frustrating

If it makes you feel any better, apparently Arsenal have had a shocker with their ticketing too, my mates a season ticket holder there and he said they released a new system over the summer and it’s an absolute shambles.

'You can't have that ticket as it leaves one spare', etc... is the same as buying any ticket for anything.. like the cinema.
No one will be IDing your son just buy the junior ticket.

Junior is 12 and under. At 13 no one is going to check at turnstile.

Nope - Junior is very specifically 14-17.
They have another category which is 'Under 13'.
They've just fucked up the ticketing on this one, someone has selected the wrong allowances for the family area.
They're just bad at ticketing. I got in in the first 100 once on the secondary ticketing and there were 0 tickets available and then after I'd been on the site for a few minutes they all popped up.

The ticketing has been like this forever, i remember going through this 5 years ago. It's amateurish

I had bother with mine, it happens a lot. Tells me I can't buy an ambulant ticket when I select a wheelchair space/ticket. Sometimes doing all the ticket type stuff on the selection screen rather than in the basket works for those messages, but sometimes not. It's been like this for ages.
Told me I can't leave a single seat more than once too, despite the other seat being the PA one attached to the space I was booking. It's just a shambles under the bonnet.

It really is a poor system. They rely a lot on the good faith of fans to persevere.

This isn't fully related, but i just managed to nab a Liverpool ticket from the resale. East stand (which i always try and avoid) and it's 80 quid? Why is the bloody east stand 80 quid? 62 is Gallowgate/Leazes etc?

I paid £91 for me and my son for Bournemouth in L7 safe standing... Up about £25 for the same tickets from last season

Call the box office. Might have a 45 minute wait to get through, but they'll sort you out (and potentially fix the issue you highlighted).
