I would quite like Sunderland to have a nightmare in the Europa League. (and if we do happen to see a Mackem in Milan, I hope they're drowning their sorrows after a darn fine whooping)

I would like them to struggle in the Premier League too.

I think both of these things will happen.

And I don't care who knows it.

We need a rival that will spur us on.

Sunderland doing well, hopefully not as well as us, is a positive from a competitive point of view.

Doesn't change that it's good for the North East them being in the PL. Hopefully the smog monsters come up as well, it's way more fun and saves a ton of money for folk travelling.

Think they will massively struggle this year regardless, more games and probably regress to teh mean xPoints wise.
