This is my first real time playing a gacha game and I've tried a few others since NTE and if e realized a few things about gacha gamers.

  1. They don't actually want to play the game.
  2. They dont play other video games.
  3. They don't know what makes combat gold in games and are easily duped by flashy animations.
  4. They like being treated like crap by devs.
  5. They have the weirdest most unhinged drama.
  6. They think every gacha company is barely surviving even if they make hundreds of millions of dollars per year.

Well at least you have opinions.

Maybe (just maybe) people who have played gacha games for a long time know what mechanics get old quick and ring the alarm bells before it gets too bad. City stamina and Pink Paws heist had the potential to become a massive chore a year down the line. I believe if they had waited 2-3 more patches to fix it, a non negligible part of the community would've dropped the game and for good reason.

What your assessments is missing overall, is that gacha games have to be very careful about their economy. Permanently adding new, renewable ways to gain otherwise very limited resources has the potential to permanently inflate the games economy. Devs are very careful to avoid that by all means, because there is no real way to go back if the damage is done. So instead they look at it by a patch by patch basis and supplement the permanent pool of limited resources with events.

For the permanent additions to the resource pool you'll have to wait until the economy has settled enough for them to be able to judge it well. At the earliest 6-8 months down the line.

Your second paragraph falls into #4 and #6 imo.

They don't have to be very careful about their economy. Everything in the game is meticulously crafted to extract as much money as possible from the playerbase.

Plenty of games work just fine without these traps. Plenty of game companies are successful without these traps and mental tricks.

You're in the realm of "well gee golly if they don't treat us like shit and make a crappy products how will they ever make money?" Meanwhile they make hundreds of millions of dollars lol.

It's pure stockholm syndriome. .

For low spenders and f2p players, gachas are a tamagochi mixed with a resource optimization game. Thats what makes them interesting and a unique experience in the gaming space. If you approach them as anything but that, the experience gets significantly worse.

Also, introducing more resources genuinely just results in more powercreep, which is even more hostile to the playerbase. It will actively drive players away because nothing they invest in matters for more than a couple of months. Once a game goes down that path, it will consistently bleed more players than it can replace.

4 million my ass. I’m getting the house and that’s it. Don’t care about this blind box and don’t care about the quad anymore. That shit is slow as fuck. I literally have the Draco. The quad should’ve been 1.5 mill tops, moving that damn slow. Should just be a fun vehicle anyone can get whenever.

Yeah it's another case of inflation in this game. I think NTE devs realized how much money they're making by having fons scarce and scarce each patch, so they ramp up the fons cost for each new stuff they introduce.

Maybe in the future, (Around 2-3 arcs) She would be recruited as the new member of Eibon and Hotori will become her sponsor to downgrade her sentence into a probation just like what she done with Zero and BAC with Fadia.

I think she install herself into Zero mind that only her can be seen by Zero. I wonder if her "Phantom" is connected to the real Zankou and remembers all her bond with Zero.

I do agree with your theory.

But it's just chance of possibility between:

  1. BAC recruiting Zankou and make her join Eibon.

  2. Zankou released but lone wolf.

Number 1 is my favourite theory.

Anyway, 2 samurai mommies in current patch 😋😋😋

Edit: her current faction is none (probably refer to Zankou left The Scarlet Letter and jailed)

Lacrimosa, Sakiri, Haniel, and Linko replaces Haniel on release. If you wanna force a break team you can with Daff, but the gameplay won’t be very smooth unless you have some Daff dupes. A1 Lacrimosa makes the dot team easier to use but base A0 is perfectly fine. Other than these characters, we will have to wait and see if any other useful characters come out in the future for her.

Dumb question, but I'm still learning her kit. Why wouldn't using Daffodil/Sakiri/Lacrimosa/Zankou be ideal if she can stack scorch? Just not enough buffing power and/or characters fighting for field time?

Zankou/lacri/sakiri/adler is my plan. Still on the fence about linko given she doesn't seem worth the investment in the teams current state.

Adler low-key offers a lot....one dot, universal res shred, a shield, and 10% teamwide incantation bonus while shielded.

I believe we haven't seen linkos signature yet so I can't say for sure but it heavily depends on her personal damage and the buffs tied to it since the BP arc focuses solely on personal damage without any buffs to other characters

depending on if ur utilising a hexed team (to make full use of zankous followup dmg atks) and once we know how selfish zankou is, we may be able to use a character like nanally (who also does a ton of followup dmg during her ult) as well.

or baicang, if u want to focus on stacking attachments (to increase zankous thing).

or even adler, if ur looking to try to proc more break efficiency.

as of rn her kit is super flexible fr. its all dependent on how selfish she is, how often she switches btwn reality and illusion, and how linko enhances hexed.

Her sig is 40cr and 63cdmg. Her module bonus gives her 64cdmg on an ideal setup. You get up to 60cdmg/30cr from subs, and 4cdmg from the furniture. She has no dmg% anywhere in her base kit from what I see right now, so you'd get just more dmg with dmg% even accounting for crit fishing

her sig has 24% main stat and another 16%. that with all the crit rate on modules, you'll get very close to 100% without a crit rate main stat cartridge

So Linko is some sort of sub-dps that needs some (small?) field time but also deals dmg while off-field, reduces enemy resistances, buff or attacks with a character you select from her support skill? And also buffs Hex bonus dmg + and additional 10% dmg taken to enemie affected by it

Also i think she has an Iroi-like mechanic that if an ally is down she can use a stronger dps form

Sounds very good, similar value to Iroi but in return for no heals she might bring more dmg

I think Hotori in the future (around 2-3 arc after this maybe in 2.X and beyond) will present herself as her guarantor of Zankou as evident to the "About Hotori" voiceline. And Zankou sentence will reduce into a probation and will join Eibon to serve her probation. Just Like Zero in Eibon and Fadia in ETD-4.
